Very sturdy construction. Wish I had taken a look at a floor model before purchasing, as it's not as low-profile as I would have preferred, but not a deal breaker to keep. I love having the center burner and using that more than I would have anticipated.

Grate piece cracked--will they stand behind their product?

Small burner grate piece broke off on its own. Called for replacement and CS rep tried to sell me a new one for $137 instead of standing behind their product and sending a new part, like most companies do. After telling him that they're about to lose a customer, he is now sending a "technician" to look at it and determine whether it's under the warranty. We'll see how that works out.

I decided on the 30™€ cooktop in stainless steel to match the Frigidaire wall oven I purchased. I like that when I have a burner lit and I open or close a drawer underneath, the flame doesn™€™t even flicker. With My old cooktop, if I opened or closed a drawer, the flame would blow out. This Frigidaire is soooo much safer! Also, good to know if you are purchasing this for an older kitchen, it is pretty tall.

This cooktop is beautiful and sleek. I love cooking and I previously had a 30 inch ge profile. This cooktop is amazing. Well thought out. I never thought I would be be able to get 5 burners out of a 30 inch. Oh and the knobs are steel and not plastic! Looks more like a high end cooktop but for a fraction of the price. It won't disappoint. The only issue is securing it in. We had to purchase steel straps to secure it but it is well worth it.

Love how the cooktop looks. Stylish and modern. Knobs are backlit when burners are on. All works well but the one thing I don™€™t care for is how dang huge the grates are! Heavy to move and hard to clean under them so you must move them. However stainless cleans fairly easy!! One other thought for the company is if you could choose between right hand or left hand for the side burners. My kitchen would bode well with the simmer burner on the left as opposed to the right.

Pros: substantial iron grates, easy to clean stainless steel, nice metal knobs that light up when the burner is lit, great burner adjustment, less expensive than comparable brands from another big name appliance maker. Cons: the grates are heavy but can be wiped clean for the most part.

A bit Bulky

It's a nice well made cooktop that looks and cooks fantastic. The only two things I don't like about it is the bulky size of the grates and the extreme weight of the grates. The grates raise the heigth of the cooking surface a couple inches higher than our previous cooktop and puts it almost too close to the microwave vent hood. The grates also weigh a lot and are almost too heavy for my wife to safely remove to clean the top.

We decided to replace our Frigidaire 30™€ electric, which was less than a year old, with this unit. The new gas line cost more than the cooktop. The wife is loving the gas unit. The three grates are massive, so the cleanup falls to me as she can barely lift them. The grates are not only heavy, they are tall, which may present an issue for a shorter individual. I really like the metal knobs, and the illumination under the knob in use is a nice touch. The stainless steel surface is rather soft, and I am afraid that it won™€™t take much to scratch it. I wish Frigidaire offered a custom surface shield for each unit sold. I have been unable to find a single 3rd party vendor who makes a shield for this particular model, and trust me I have spent a lot of time looking. I have zero idea why this model isn™€™t covered. Would we buy this cooktop again? You bet we would!

Wow, It is a great cooktop. We really love the middle burner, that makes short work of boiling water. These burners light very quickly. No mess can get can disrupt them from lighting. Super quality cast iron grates, too.

My new gas Frigidaire cooktop is a dream to cook on. The burners respond immediately to the controls and it is easy to slide heavy pans across the heavy duty grills. Cleanup is easy with a simple stainless steel cleaner and soft cloth and the cooktop is sealed so no crumbs or spills can sneak under it. My new cooktop also looks beautiful and gives my kitchen a needed facelift. I am cooking al LOT MORE now and saving money.

Pros:Looks really nice on my black granite countertops. It fit perfectly without having to alter the countertops (replaced another cooktop.) Knobs are backlit so you know they are on. Large burners boil water quickly. Love the cast iron grates. It cleans up easily.Cons:Everything spots/stains the stainless steel surface, including plain water, I haven™€™t found anything to remove the stains. The rubber feet on the grates are already breaking off with no way to replace them. Super glued them back on. The grates must have the rubber feet (they sit in little wells.) Without them the grates will scratch the cooking surface and they help keep the grates in place.I like how the cooktop cooks but I don™€™t think I would buy this again.

Our GE profile kitchen appliances needed an update, and this Frigidaire cooktop is stealing the show. With a 30 in. space limitation, this 5-burner feels quite larger than it is since the crates go end to end lengthwise. It's super sturdy and looks like a professional range with a ton of heat coming from every burner. We love the way it looks and the way it cooks.

Burning my cupboards. Paint peeling off from heat. Over the cooktop microwave gets too hot to touch when using cooktop. Had Frigidaire tech out and all he said was it was installed wrong. But he couldn™€™t tell me how to install it correctly or fix the problem.

We recently had our old 4 burner range start breaking down and went looking for a replacement. The Wife loved the look and the solid grates are fantastic and a great upgrade from the old ones we had that started to bend. The orientation of the burners gives us more space with 5 burners than we had with 4 and super simple and easy install.
