Love this stove

The burners heat so fast on this induction stove that food quickly cooks. I especially like the reduction in radiating heat off the stovetop. Also, pans and range surface are staying much cleaner. Though price is more than the conventional electric ranges, I feel induction will be worth the extra cost. The GE induction range has many features that would be more expensive in other brands. I certainly recommend this stove.

Disappointed in the "power boil" burner

I've just had my unit for a little over a month and don't use the oven very much. It seems fine; just takes awhile to preheat. I am very disappointed in the "power boil" burner on the induction cooktop. It requires a VERY wide pot to get the full benefit of the wattage. I want to use this burner for boiling water for cooking pasta or potatoes. I currently am testing 4 stockpots on the burner and not one of them is quite as wide as the circle on the cooktop. Two are about 9" in diameter and it took about 9 minutes to boil 2 quarts of water! The other 2 are about 10" in diameter and it still took about 5 minutes for just 2 quarts. I have searched and searched for a wider stockpot and can't find one. It is very, very disappointing. The fan goes on often when using the cooktop or the oven. The burners on the cooktop hold heat for a long time. I was expecting them to cool down quickly. My expectations were so high for this unit and I waited at least 3 months for it to arrive and another 6 before it was installed during my kitchen remodel. It just hasn't met the expectations.

I just L-O-V-E my range and really enjoy cooking on it. I do have one EXTREMLY LARGE COMPLAINT. I am 86 years of age and can not use the "AIR FRY'. Why you ask???? it is very simple I do not have a cell phone and so do not have Wi-Fi. I have been back to the store many times and they are unable to help me. Do I enjoy cooking on this range I LOVE IT. Would I recommend it?? NO as at 86 years of age and I am not going to get a phone just so I can Air-Fry. I am sure this is not the review you hoped for but these are the facts. June.

Love the Induction

I love cooking with induction. It boils water very quickly and heats pans evenly and predictably. The smart features are a nice addition. I like being able to remotely preheat the oven or turn it off remotely, for example. The baking, roasting and convection all work very well. The air fry doesn't work as well as a countertop air fryer. The controls are a little too sensitive for my taste. I also installed this myself and struggled with the supposed leveling legs. There wasn't a tool included for this and I never did find a wrench that worked very well. I bought the trim kit but didn't end up needing it.

We bought this after I smashed the old cooktop we had on accident and the built in oven we had was on its last leg so to save money we got the range model which was only a little more than the cooktop version (especially after rebates and in store incentives). An added bonus the range has the lower built in drawer for cookie sheets as well the oven interior appears to be larger than our last model (both 30") and the cooktop includes an extra warming element!

This stove was easy to install. Adjustment of feet a pain but doable. Wi-Fi connection poorly thought out and I still haven't used this feature. The cooktop is fantastic. Vey fast and a great simmer. Very easy intuitive controls. Easy to clean. The oven is just great and a huge improvement over my gas Bosch.

This is the best range I've ever used. The cooktop heats quickly and accurately. The controls can be locked. It's easy to clean. The thermostat in the oven is the most accurate I've ever used - no guessing. The convection feature cooks foods more quickly than conventional baking (probably true of 'convection' generally). the oven door does not leak heat. If you're comparing to Bosch, consider the overlapping vs not overlapping cook surface. In our case not overlapping was preferable.

Too early to tell

I'll need another three or months to be able to mount a reliable review so GE must be hoping for glowing first impressions. Nope. Love the induction -- that's why I bought this range. Looks great in that solid black rectangle way. The goofy stuff: 1. Touch controls are too coarse to allow selection of intermediate power settings.(Easy to do in the SmartHQ app, though) 2. Oven light is well positioned for visibility but cannot be turned off if the door is open. That's just silly. 3. I fully expected the even temp to be visible in realtime at all times. The ability must be available, show it to me! 4. The timer only displays full minutes, which is just stupid. This is a precision cooking instrument! 5. The dot matrix LCD display is right out of the 2000s and should have been upgraded a decade ago. 6. The software and menus imply limited focus group testing and could use an update. BOTTOM LINE: I bought this model because it has the induction I wanted and the basic functions I required to enjoy cooking with today's science-based recipe resources and the amazing variety of readily available international ingredients. I do not regret the purchase at all. Not yet. However, if you are considering this unit, you might try to squeeze together another $1500-2000 and upgrade to the Cafe version. Just try not to buy features you will never use like the in-oven webcam. I will try to remember to update this review in 4-6 months.

Stopped working after 5 months

We were so excited to finally get our Induction range after being on back order for 8 months. It worked great for 5 months. April stopped working, 3 different parts ordered, 3 service calls ( service person has been great!) and still not working. Another part ordered and next service isn't until mid June! You have to connect to the internet to use the air fry function. There are some who don't have internet and some that choose not to have internet. The smart programming would have the product work straight out of the box. Then if the consumer wanted internet/WiFi connectivity super programming would be available for them. Maybe GE will figure out how to serve all of their customers.

Disappointed

The burner power output is very disappointing! Only the large burner can bring a large pot of water to a full boil fairly fast but nothing like my old Maytag induction stove! All burners are under par! For the money paid this stove should have nothing but the highest burner output!! The oven doesn't keep temperature very disappointed!

Love My Range

I'm a big fan of induction cook tops, and this is a good one. Infinite control; super fast heating; doesn't heat up the kitchen too much! The features are fantastic the oven.  Love the air fryer setting as well as convection roast.  It heats super fast and if I put something in before it's preheated it continues to heat to temp.  Simple as it sounds, it's also handy to have the bottom drawer for sheet pan storage.

Wonderful Choice

This induction range is performing exactly as I hoped -- and expected, based on pre-purchase research. It's lovely to look at, simple to keep clean, and so far has not let me down in any way with its precision control and fast, even heating.

Nice range, but some minor annoyances

I've only been using this stove for a few weeks, so I have not full explored all of the features. I do love the induction cooktop as it is so much faster, and easier to clean. I've used the convection bake and air fryer, both work nicely. Some of the issues I have with this stove are the fingerprints and smudges on the glass cooktop and the controls on the front. Just turning things on leaves fingerprints all over the control panel, but you can't wipe them off because all of the other buttons go crazy... and if you lock the control panel to wipe it off, it turns off everything. One other annoyance is the high pitch noises it makes when you use the induction cooktop. If I turn on more than one induction eyes, it can be quite loud (it gets quieter after it warms up). Other than that, so far so good. It is annoying that many of my pans do not work on this cooktop, but I knew that when I bought it (mostly my non-stick pans), so I'm having to buy some new induction compatible cookware. I am looking forward to integrating the use of this oven with the over-the-range microwave, and making use of the sous vide and other features in the near future.

Oven does not work - error message

Range was delivered brand new. When tried to use oven for first time as recommended received error message "Fault 350 Set". Asked dealer to service it, would take 5 weeks! Ask GE service to send someone and they can't come for 2 weeks. New range , can't bake.

Sleek design

Induction cooking is new to us and we don't see a big difference in the short time we've had it. The front control panel is very sensitive to touch so we need to keep it locked for cleaning. It's nice that the stove communicates with the microwave vent and light to automatically come on when a burner is turned on. We haven't used the air fryer yet. The convection oven is fine. We requested an owners manual from the manufacturer but haven't received it yet. There may be other features we don't know about. It only came with a quick guide with minimal info. We had to call support to get the stove connected to the app. If we had to do it over again I would get a lower priced range. The added features aren't with the extra costs.

The range is fantastic, heats up so quickly and was lily maintains its temp. Oven is quick to desired temp and the WiFi control is such a pleasure and ease to use! Eisner I would have gotten the upgraded version with the built in camera to watch my food cook!

Great stove - not happy about the bait and switch

Love the look and functionality! Controls work great and very intuitive, much easier than a very high end cooktop we've used. Not happy about GE's pulling the full pan rebate ( think it was Amer211684), emailed back and forth with their promotions people and they first claimed ignorance, then fessed up and said it had been swapped out with just the single pan.

I love this induction cook top! Water boils so much faster, things cook more evenly, and it's so much safer & cleaner than an electric cooktop. It only gets hot under the pots & pans so burning yourself or having burnt food on the cooktop is practically impossible. I also love the oven… there's so many shelves and so many shelf settings… I can cook tons of trays of cookies at the same time or take all but 1 shelf out & cook a whole turkey. The best!

I loved all the features of this range including the convection and air fryer. Love the looks of the slide in with the controls in front. Sadly the panel failed within the first two weeks. My dealer was great and replaced the part, which was in stock, within 3 days. Hopefully it was a fluke and continues to keep working! You'd think parts would work longer than that, even in this goofy chip shortage world!

We just got the range last week. So far we really like it. We do have to go buy some replacement pans due to the induction (which we expected). The old saying watched pot never boils isn't true with our new stove. Things heat up really quickly and the stove top is easy to clean after spills. We have not had a chance to use the oven.
