A Bit Noisy & Not To Price Class

I ordered and bought this from BestBuy for a reasonable price. The look and feel of the unit is very nice. However, after 24 hours, the noise it makes while running, on start up and in general is very noticeable. Given our house has an open floor plan, this noise can be heard in virtually any room. I am not sure if it is this model, or just this particular unit, but we are returning it and getting a different refrigerator. Further: Looks, great, feel great, cooling, works well, made ice quickly, LED lighting is awesome, shelves are very nice! Con: the two drawers for fruit and vegetables seem not match the caliber of a $2k refrigerator.

Looks and works great. Offers flexibility for different sized items. Easy to see into the drawers and "love the removable tray"! We made a couple dozen mini tarts for a birthday celebration and we just laid them out in the tray, kept them cool and just removed the tray to serve them.

I'm disappointed that the sides do not have stainless steel on them because it shows on one side. I don't like that the shelving doesn't have slides like my old Maytag did. It does form condensation at the door seam so the condensation button needs to be on at all times.

Came with a townhome I bought on spec - had no say in anything. I much prefer french doors that split down the middle for the entire length of the doors. I find the door compartments hard to adjust to fit tall wine bottles etc. My freezer also completely froze up 1 day, no idea why, took 90 minutes to unthaw / clean.

I got this refrigerator to replace my side-by-side refrigerator. Even though it is the same size, there is so much room in the French door style. I don't even have all of the door bins filled! A plus is, no more bending down to get veggies out of the lower side-by-side bins. The grey mats in the door bins make it really easy to clean. I specifically wanted no icemaker/water on the outside. Just looks so much cleaner. I am very happy with this style and certainly with the KitchenAid brand of quality.

I had a huge fridge door on my Amanda that caused many issues like dropping condiments and bins that would come off the door. My new KitchenAid with French double doors is so nice and sturdy! I'm loving the digital temp at the top and the layout is so space efficient. I am so happy with my new purchase and our old fridge needed chrome panels on the sides so thanks for making those gray so that all the chrome and gray blend beautifully with my kitchen!

Good Basic Refrigerator

"Refreshed" the kitchen and went with KitchenAid Refrigerator, oven/micro and cook top. The project was on a budget so opted not to get the fancier models of refrigerators. Interior drawers "drag" a little but this is the lower end and to be expected. This is a basic model, no external water of ice access-which presents a clean, smooth front. MUCH quieter than the previous GE Fridge (don't buy a GE fridge!) and seems to hold temps well. Freezer is a little smaller because of the ice maker but the plus is that there is less space to "loose" things in the freezer. Exterior seems more resistant to finger prints but any prints easily wipe off with a micro cloth.

Overachieving Ice maker

I love this refrigerator for the most part but our icemaker constantly over produces. It doesn't seem to know when it's full and continues to produce ice until the bucket over fills. We have to dump the bucket daily and clean the ice that spills out of the bucket and onto the floor after we open the freezer. As an isolated issue this would be annoying, in combination with the over heating range knobs on the matching range, which I posted about in my review of the range, this is enough to make me want to switch appliance brands.

I was overwhelmed by the choices of appliances on the market and I remembered my mother always saying "you can never go wrong with Kitchenaid". Well she's right! I love the lightness and slim design with major appeal on my 30 year old kitchen. I subsequently purchased a double wall oven and a microwave. My only regret is that as I'm aging my hands aren't as strong and wish I purchased the microwave with an exterior handle versus this push in version. A little struggle some but works great.

Little disappointed

I bought this refrigerator and I'm realizing I'm not a fan of the French door. You always need to open both doors to access the drawers and its just not practical. Its also smaller than I realized.

I didn't realize how long our fresh produce would last (even herbs) in a frig that operated properly. And the ice maker!!!! Insert heart imjoi here! Love the counter depth. Just truly love everything about it. We bought all 3 pieces (frig, gas range, dishwasher) for our newly remodeled kitchen. Lovely! Just Lovely!

I bought this at Home Depot as the reviews were pretty good although most of the reviews I read were from households with small families. We are a family of 5. The counter-depth was the key thing for us. In terms of the design room, it is pretty good and efficient. There is ample room for pretty much every type and size of items. The design makes us think of what and how much to put in the fridge. Sometimes we overbuy on some produce and it goes bad before we could eat it. 20 cu. ft could seem small for a large family but we made it work.

Meets our needs perfectly

This refrigerator is perfect for us. The freezer located on the bottom is just what we wanted and is plenty of room for us. The top part is easy access and holds more than our previous refrigerator. We like the water and ice dispensers inside. It fit perfect into the cabinet opening which was originally a concern.

WE like it so far - 2 weeks

It replaced a Kitchenaid side by side that was about 14 yrs old. It was great by died a year long failure. New one is easily accessible and we like it a lot more. Top section is great. We do not use the freezer much so its just right for us. We would buy another.
