Purchased twice and still have issues

I have bought two of these in the past 4 years. First one leaked and was replaced. Second one just had fight to get the motor replaced with LG and water damage was found behind the machine by the technician. Unit is currently operating however not sure for how long.

Good at cleaning dishes

It worked very good for the first 2 years then the circulation pump started to make a loud buzzing sound while it was washing the dishes. I had a extended warranty which took care of the labor and part. The problem is that it took LG almost 2 months to find someone to come look at it and repair it

Im on my 3rd door seal and now my soap dispenser is sticking shut. This is by far the worst appliance I have ever owned. I would never buy another LG product again. Reading reviews on consumer reports it is clear their products are rapidly declining in quality.

I bought this almost 5 years ago. For the most part it has worked good and am happy with it. I am happy I bought the warranty though because the rinse dispenser leaked and had to be repaired within the first year and just in the last couple of months had to have the middle tray replaced because it was rusting out. Customer service was excellent and made sure both were resolved quickly.

4 years old and having major issues

Loved this when we first bought it. This is year 4 and major issue: shuts off in the middle of the cycle. Put in codes into app and it says unplug for 10 minutes. Now we have to do that once a month. Called LG customer service told if unplugging helps thats all they can do. Now Im in the market for a new dishwasher AND IT WONT BE AN LG

My dishwasher is 4 years old and completely stopped working. There is absolutely no power and electric company is saying I need to replace the control panel AND door latch. We have a new baby and are now washing all of his bottles etc. by hand as we cannot afford these repairs. An appliance of this caliber should last more than 4 years with normal everyday use. This is absolutely ridiculous and I wont be purchasing LG again.

Major problems-less than 5 years old

Very Disappointed

We own an LG refrigerator two LG stoves/microwave/washer/dryer/dishwashers. The second LG dishwasher has never worked well does not do a good job cleaning the dishes often stops in the middle of a cycle and Hass to be restarted or just refuses to start at all. Weve complained but have never received any service or help with it. The bottom rack started to rust and fall apart and I spent five months going back-and-forth with LG Customer Service before they finally agreed to replace under warranty. Then they sent a new top rack instead of the bottom rack that we needed We will never purchase any more LG appliances after this experience.

My poor mom bought this peice of junk and 1 year later it stops working we tried everything. Unplug. Breakers. Troubleshooting. This is horrible and we will never buy LG again. I bought this dishwasher 3 yrs ago. It started making noise a while ago now will not start most of the time or shuts off in middle of cycle. We had a cheap one before this and was still running after 16 years. The more expensive stuff doesnt seem to last.

We have enjoyed the quietness and features. It has done well with cleaning most of the time. We have needed repairs twice in the past year because it stopped running entirely. The first time it determined there was a false reading of a leak and when the repairman got it apart there wasnt any evidence of a leak. He stated this model has had times of the detection system giving a false error and it was reset with his actions. In the past six months we experienced it going through half a cycle then shutting down. Until three weeks ago we were able to get it restarted. Three weeks ago it stopped and wouldnt restart even though the controls lit up. The repairman came out with a new door latch switch and control panel. After these were replaced it has been working. He pointed out the control panel has been subject to condensation effects on the circuitry even though the wasnt any evidence on the old panel. We are thankful it works again even with the needed repairs.

The control panel keeps having issues. It has been replaced once but after a few weeks the issues start again.

It broke within the first month. Now after door problem was fixed the unit wont power on. I purchased the extended warranty and have been without use of the dishwasher for a month. Absolutely awful product business and customer service.

Quiet Cleans great

We were looking at other dishwashers but this one was on clearance so we decided to try it. We love it It cleans great and runs quiet. Love the front. Its a little different than stainless steel NO FINGERPRINTS SMUDGES OR DRIPS It always looks clean and beautiful Would definitely recommend this dishwasher to family and friends

Dish Racks Rust Out in 1yr

I am working with LG but not getting any support yet will update if I do on the replacement of these defective rusting rust chips rust staining etc. plastic coated dish trays. The metal use to make these racks are cheap iron based metal that quickly rusts when exposed to....get this...water. The are coated with a thin plastic coating that does not protect them from rusting with just months of normal use. My wife noticed the rust spots shortly after the 1yr warrantee expired but hopefully LG will step up and help with replacement racks on this less than 2yr old washer that gets very light use just two of us.

I bought this 3 yrs ago stopped working turned on by itself would not turn off. The customer support team is horrible had to go through alit to get a courtesy repair because my extended warranty expired in 11/2021.

I purchased this diswasher in 2018 and it worked fine for about two years. After two years warranty expired the dishwasher began failing with multiple symptoms. Initially the control buttons became inactive. All of the buttons did nothing when pushed and of course the dishwasher was unusable. After throwing turning off the circuit breaker waiting several minutes and then turning it back on the lights on the control panel started flashing no codes just flashing lights and the dishwasher began beeping incessantly. I tried turning the power off and on several times but to no avail. Finally I turned off the power and this time waited overnight before turning it back on. The next morning the dishwasher began working again but it didnt last. This same scenario has happened sporadically every couple of months since then. The most recent episode 2 weeks ago was the worst. The dishwasher didnt respond to the overnight turn off/turn on method. However after waiting two days with the power off it began working again. At present I am just waiting for the next fail. I did some research on the internet and found that this LG model dishwasher has been a nightmare for many other people. I contacted LG support and explained my situation and was told that a one-time free service call might be possible. The next day I received an email denying the service. I checked with my local LG service and found that repairs would total 1/4 to 1/2 of the original price of this dishwasher. Im not willing to throw good money after bad so Im stuck with an expensive dishwasher that works only sometimes. So unless you are fond of running up and down your basement stairs to turn off and on circuit breakers every couple of weeks Id steer clear of this clearly inferior product.
