Great Fridge

I bought this fridge almost 5 years ago and its been great until this year. Unfortunately Ive had to call service twice 1st the compressor had to be swapped out and the 2nd time not sure what was done but the Tech was working on it for a while. Its back-up running fine. Fortunately I was still under the 5 year parts and labor warranty so no expense and LG was great about sending a tech out. I just feel like now I may need to get the extended warranty. Other than that its a great fridge

I bought my Instaview refrigerator by LG and Already call so they can service it 2-3 times with in a kaps of 5 years. The product is very good when its working but its a nightmare when its only 2 years old and it needs an evaporator and 2 years later it needs a compressor and a condenser. Now my refrigerator makes a loud noise and it doesnt go away.

Good fridge with one key problem

The refrigerator looks nice and has plenty of room. The only problem I have with the fridge is that the open door sensor became faulty 2 years in. It would constantly ding although closed. Weve spoke with LG multiple times in an effort to troubleshoot and constantly was passed around from one representative to the other. None of which who could figure the issue out. We troubleshot ourselves and discovered the wiring in the right side door was faulty. LG doesnt cover it and now we can only open 1 door or suffer through agonizing dings for days.

I bought this refrigerator in 2018. And is a very nice item that serves us very well. The only problem was that a month ago the compressor suddenly gave up. Fortunately I had acquired the additional warranty and a new compressor was installed. I was very pleased with the hassle-free service. Overall I am very satisfied with my refrigerator I just wished the compressors would last longer.

Not even 2 years since my fridge was delivered to me in Jan 2021. Having problems with it. LG service gave me a couple of companies I can go through and which I did. Not able to solve the problem yet. They change out the fan and still the same problem. the top fridge wont get cold and dispense ice or water bottom freezer gets cold.

Internal water filter problem

I contacted you folks regarding the fact that my water filter on the refrigerator needed replacing and the one I purchased that was SUPPOSED to work does not fit. it wont turn and lock I tried a couple of these and finally called your rep. After about 2 hours of back and forth he pointed out that the filter I purchased the code ended in 6 while the one in his book said it was supposed to end in 1. These filters look identical in EVERY WAY except that the replacement will not lock into the seat. I have since had to add an exterior water filter to filter my water. You asked.

Terrible Quality

We purchased an LG refrigerator less than 2 years ago and have already had to service the unit on multiple occasions. At this time the compressor is failing. The service warranty firm Assurant is awful to work with. Think twice about buying an LG product

Well designed and good layout for the most part. Unfortunately the compressor died fairly early into the life of this appliance. But LG customer service was GREAT... arranged quick replacement and the fridge is up and running again The only other issue is the drawer in the freezer... It doesnt have wheels and thus is clunky as it doesnt glide well at all.

I bought this 2 years ago . It stop working. LG authorised technician came fix it but still not working then another technician came fix it again. Now fridge works but no ice maker works. Tired of it .

I have had this refrigerator for a little over a year now and it seems to be somewhat well made. We have had replace the bottom ice maker as it was not dispensing the ice cubes.

Ive had it for 2+ years. I have to say in terms of cooling and functionally its good but in terms of quality of materials not the best. The plastic drawers crack easily the freezer drawer is not very sturdy and made with thin plastic. Overall this would be a better product if the materials of the drawers and shelving were better quality.

I bought this refrigerator a little over 2 years ago and did not expect to have the trouble that I have had with it. I am 2 tech visits in and the issue is not yet resolved. My unit is currently unplugged and I am hoping that when I plug it in again the refrigerator will work. I lost an entire refrigerator full of food. Although LG offered me some compensation which I appreciate it will not replace all of the food that I lost.

Needed a new fan shortly after warranty expired

I loved this refrigerator until the fan went out right after the warranty expired. It took 3 weeks to get it repaired although I have to say it was only a week after we finally contacted LG. Their repair person was great. But Ive never had a refrigerator break down before.

Great fridge if it had lasted

Weve had this fridge for almost 5 years. Its got great space I like the layout I like the door in door feature. There were a few things I didnt like the fact that we could only put taller items on the bottom shelf and the top drawer in the freezer is flimsy. The compressor on the fridge went out after 3 years. We got an LG repairman to come out and he brought a replacement for a 2018 LG which is what we have. Turns out LG tests out new compressor models and doesnt disclose that to customers. We were given one of these tester compressors and of course it didnt last. Got it replaced and now a year later its out again and I have to buy a new fridge.

I had It for 2 years and broke down 2 time alread.and Im not so happy about it first time wast bad for them to come fix it but the Second time take forever first they sent the wrong part before they knew what was wrong with it once the technician came out the problem was different and we have to wait for a different part takes over a month for them to come and solve the problem

Cant fix the bottom ice maker

I have had this fridge for several years now and thankfully I spent the extra money on the extended service plan. A technician has come to my house four times now to fix the leaking ice maker yet it still doesnt work correctly. The first problem was the fill spout for the bottom ice maker would freeze up and instead of filling the ice tray it sprays out the back of the fridge onto the kitchen wall. Roughly 10oz of water sprays out of the back of the fridge every 5 hours until I shut the ice maker off. That means if the fill spout freezes/clogs while Im asleep at work or away for the weekend I will come to the kitchen to find a nice puddle on the floor. On the techs third trip to my house he learned the clog and leak was caused by a poorly designed intake spout for the ice maker and LG had issued a bulletin with a new replacement part to fix the issue. On the fourth trip to my house the tech installed the new spout. The new spout did fix the ice clogging issue but it also created a new one. The new spout fails to direct all the water into the ice tray and by the time its gone through enough cycles to fill the ice bucket there is a layer of ice frozen spray about 1/8+ on everything in the top drawer of the freezer. My well pump is set to a 35-40psi operating range which is very appropriate for home water pressure as confirmed by the technician. I now have turned to ice maker off probably permanently and will enjoy the extra space in the top drawer. My bottom line is most features of the fridge are excellent but the ice maker is absolute garbage making this an okay/average fridge overall.

Had trouble with this unit since we purchased it Worst part is no one works in then. This past time we were without a refrigerator for 3 week. I want all the management at LG to live in their households with children without a refrigerator for 3 weeks. Live out of an ice chest. Yeah so t think that will happen. I will never buy another LG product because of the service or lack there of.
