Leaky freezer gasket

Bottom freezer was making lots of frost. Noticed gap in bottom gasket. Reported the gasket to LG and they sent me the wrong one. Hopefully the one theyre sending now is correct.

I bought the French 2-door refrigerator 4 years ago. It was love at first sight. The printproof black stainless steel beauty with door in door and 2 freezer drawers made buying decision easy. Everything was great until 2 weeks ago when everything unthawed in freezer and refrigerator no longer kept food cold. A lot of food thrown away. Condenser was replaced. Temperature fluctuations in refrigerator and freezer and still no ice after 2 weeks. Waiting for repairman to come again. Seems a short time for malfunctioning.

Well I love this fridge and I love the black stainless steel look. Lots of room for food and beverages and the dual freezers are nice Only thing I dont like overall is the size of the ice maker. Doesnt hold much so if you have a big family youll need another way to get lots of ice Now we have had the fridge 3 years and the compressor went out while we were on vacation Lucky someone was watching our house. Its frustrating losing all that food but LG did come out and fix it for free a week later So I guess that could of been worse

Bought this 4 yrs ago and the compressor n a sensor already went. Would have cost 1/2 what we paid for it on sale mind you and ALSO had 2 family members who purchased a LG FRIG W/ LINEAR inverters to have theirs also quit -1- in 6 no. And the2nd in 3yrs. All agreed done with lg especially if equipped with linear inverters all of us ended up buying new fridges n not LG. Stores will even tell you to stay away from any with linear inverters in them

Damaged upon Arrival

I must say that this fridge looks really good and the knock knock feature is nice. Interior space looks like it will be more than adequate for what we need. Unfortunately we have been unable to use the refrigerator as it was damaged in transit and will not cool properly. The door was also damaged and I will add that LG was quick to respond to a repair request. LG was not so helpful in obtaining a replacement refrigerator rather wishing to send a technician to replace major components of a brand new unit. Thankfully Appliannces Connection was able to step in and assist with obtaining a replacment unit. I look forward to receiving the new refrigerator someday and enjoying the benefits of having a working unit in my kitchen.

Awesome fridge scared for reviews though.

Ive had this fridge since 2019. Glad I bought the extended warranty. Its been an awesome appliance until it came to a simple repair. The micro switch on the ice/water dispenser broke. The method to replace a simple switch couldnt be more complex and overwhelmingly complicated so I had to refer to the experts as I did not want to do anything that would void the warranty. Long story short the experts had to order the parts plural and it is one month going because one part shipped broken because they packaged it in a very flimsy bag instead of a box for such a large piece of plastic. Never seen such reckless abandon toward packaging. Hopefully I will one day get all the parts despite this only being a simple switch replacement so I can get my ice/water maker working again. Im just fortunate that it wasnt something more serious The reviews on customer service and similar issues like this are also disappointing and I was in denial for such a long time myself I paid so much for this WHY or HOW can it possibly break? But denial can only get you so far. Eventually you have to accept the truth about what other people are reporting.

Beautiful design/bad quality

Ever since this refrigerator came out we wanted to buy it and we did with the rest of the LG kitchen appliances. The design is beautiful and I give 10 stars for that and so is the color dark grey. It is very spacious and has everything I need but... the quality. Right after 13 months of owning this nice and quite pricey appliance it started making noise reporting a problem and we ended up with a broken fan motor that is not covered by a manufacturer warranty. How is it possible that a mechanical component of the refrigerator breaks after 13 months? I still have a refrigerator I bought 25 years ago and never had issues with and I spent 4x less than what I spent on this one. This is very disappointing considering that all my major appliances including TVs and other small ones are LG. I just hope that I will not be having issues with the rest of them.

Black stainless steel coating peels off

The black stainless steel is a coating. Theres an error in manufacturing that causes the paint to chip off specially around the handles. LG admitted to this and changed my microwave door but refused to do anything about the refrigerator saying it was a scratch. Also the coating is not available separately so theres no way to fix it. Now Im stuck with multiple appliances with this issue. Will not purchase again from this manufacturer.

Fantastic fridge

We purchased this fridge almost a month ago. Our previous fridge was about 12 yrs. old. We really werent looking to spend this much but after seeing it we are glad we went with this model. Love the 2 separate freezer drawers and the kids love knocking on the glass door. We are waiting a little while to upgrade the other appliances. The only thing I wish it had is a light in the bottom freezer drawer.

There is no light in the bottom freezer. The freezer doors wont stay open so its hard to put food in. I find little dead bugs in it when I open the door sometimes. The ice maker jams every other day.

Weve had the refrigerator for a few months and really like it. I like to be able to see whats inside without standing there with the door open. I think I could give it 5 stars except there have been some jams in the ice maker and I would prefer larger cubes. Otherwise it has performed flawlessly.

So far so good Pricey appliance but the Refrig/freezer is working great Of course time will tell on the longevity seems one just never knows with appliances manufactured today. First time for us having a refrig with freezer drawers but so far we like it. The complete unit is very spacy. Also love the Door in door feature It gets the most use But I have not been able to get the ThinQ app to count the Door in door openings separate from the full door operation even though the app has a designated line count just for it. Potential improvements except maybe lowing the price would be to add a selector button for a night light either for the light around the ice/water dispenser or for the Door in door knock knock light. Also and this applies to any refrigerator/freezer which has a digital display for setting the internal temp setpoints once the temperature controlling point is set for each section how about displaying the actually internal temperatures on the same display? Had a refrig back in the late 80s which had this feature it was great Could tell the actual internal temperature at a glance and it made it possible to head-off cooling issues. Would also be good to incorporate alarm warnings if the temp in either section or both exceeded predetermined set-points to draw the owners attention.

We got this beautiful fridge bare 3yrs ago. Sad enough the fridge shut down on us. Meaning with my protection plan and LG. LG could not fix the fridge. They sent our service repair. They did not know what they are doing. Me and my husband love the fridge due to the fact its spacious and good enough for all my cooking.. The technician service is bad and the ones that came over my house surely do nor know their job..very pain . I had this issues since mid July 2022 and they give the the run around. This I speak no fridge and just barely have someone to make more sence on getting our refund back

We purchased the refrigerator in January and everyday has been a joy owning it. The door in a door feature has been great for us to keep things for our grandson to get at without having to watch as he used to open the old fridge doors and stand and look at the contents. The dual freezer doors make it easy for us to get at frequently used items while leaving the rest to stay frozen. The ice maker - altough a little smaller than we would like - does a great job of staying filled. All in all a perfect refrigerator

I really like the door in door feature. The refrigerator is really nice with a couple of exceptions. The middle shelf in the door in door is awkward. The bottles keep falling over. I wish the refrigerator shelves were also more adjustable.

Instaview is over rated. Really got finicky after a year and out of warranty. The refirgerator broke down after the one year warranty but LG fixed it since the compressor was under 5 year warranty. Over all it cools good and freezes at it should. The ice maker only holds very little ice but has a iceplus feature that makes more ice. Still its not an ice machine but rather a feature. Over all cools and freezes as a fridg should.

We had to settle for a model we didnt really want due to a very long wait time for the model we ordered. After 6 months water started leaking into the refrigerator and the ice maker will not work. Lowes was no help whatsoever finally I was able to get an appointment and now waiting for repair technician to come. Also the right refrigerator door will not fully open as far the left door....you have to open both doors to put items on the right side.

I like the refrigerator. The door in door feature makes it really nice for kids to assess their juice and water without opening the refrigerator completely and when they leave it open or close it incompletely it alarms. Its a great product for those with kids.

We have had it for a little over a month. The drawers for the freezer are awesome and make it so much easier to access. So much room in the refrigerator itself and the inside drawers allow for plenty of storage as well. The front window door to get to the things you want regularly is a great feature. The only downside is I wish the ice container was larger. Still a great product so far for us.

Leaks out water dispenser

Ruined my kitchen floor water dispenser leaked everytime you used it for a few minutes each time after you was done getting water. The water dispenser leaked when you open and shut the door. The water dispenser leaked on its own at night as well.

Good: All around a nice looking unit Shelves can be moved to accommodate larger items. Roomy. Quiet. Bad: Poor design on the door compartment where milk is supposed to go. The lip is too tall so it makes it awkward to get the milk in and out. Cant dispense ice or water while the right door is open. Compressor went out after 3 years but they did replace it. Ice maker is very slow and sont hold much. It has a button to increase ice production but the reservoir is so small it doesnt help.

We got this refrigerator a few weeks ago and are very pleased. The black stainless is gorgeous. It is deep so to allows us to open both doors fully -something we couldnt do with our previous shallower one. Everything is kept at the desired temp and the door in door works great for our child.
