Craft ice is a great feature

Although I like the layout and most of the features of this refrigerator/freezer there are a few things that I had with my old one which I miss. I would like to see the actual temperature of the refrigerator and freezer shown instead of that what it is set to. I would also like to have it on some type of rollers which would make it easier to pull out when cleaning behind.

I have built a new home. I ordered the LG refrigerator specifically because of the round ice balls. It was delivered on August 19--dented. The delivery men brought it in and said that the dented portion could probably be replaced. They did not set it up they just un-boxed it. I am to begin chemo and I am a recent widow so I need a refrigerator. It does not have all the door pieces and no one was scheduled to even come look at it until September 20--more than a month. This is wretched LG service on a very expensive appliance Lets see if LG publishes all reviews OR only positive ones And you are required to give it as least one star

Refrigerator failure

We bought this refrigerator about 3 years ago at Lowes. When we bought it we were convinced that LG made the best refrigerators. We enjoyed the door within the door feature. We returned from a trip a couple of months ago to find that our fridge was not cooling properly and most of the food in our freezer had melted or thawed. We tried turning off the power and restarting it but it never came back to normal. I eventually called your customer service and a nice young man helped me. He determined I needed a repair service and set it up. He assured me that we would not be charged for the repairs. The repair service notified us when they were coming which was about a week later and he came when he said he would. He inspected the refrigerator and determined that it would need a new compressor evaporator and craft ice maker. He said he would have to order the parts. This took about 2 weeks. He returned and installed the parts and everything is working again. First we are disappointed that this much went wrong with our 3 year old refrigerator. The customer service was good but the repair process took longer than we felt it should.

Purchased in January keeping getting code that fan is frozen up its not chatted with LG and they decided to set up a technician to come out. On the day the appointment was scheduled nobody showed up only to find out they cancelled without notification unfortunately there is nobody to talk to its all automated have another appointment scheduled fot 9/21/23 we will see

Pros and Cons on the LG French door refrigerator

We purchased the refrigerator little over a year ago. Aside from the Craft Ice maker the refrigerator is great. Truly like the door within door feature. Also the fingerprint resistant stainless steel exterior is great. Now for the disappointing aspect of the refrigerator which is the Craft Ice maker. We are now on the fourth replacements. Not sure why LG hasnt figured out the problem and initiated the appropriate fix. However I am pleased that LG has accepted responsibility for this problem and extended the warranty to 3 years on the Craft Ice maker.

Our new LG refrigerator arrived just about a month ago and we love our new frig We especially like the third drawer. Its so convenient and we have so much more space than the previous model we had for years. The ice maker is just wonderful and we particularly enjoy the round cubes The service to have the new refrigerator installed was excellent and all of our friends are commenting on the new look. Perfect counter size depth

I bought this fridge a month ago and it has been perfect for our narrow kitchen space. We love the extra drawer for deli meats bread cheese and others. Also the front right door opening for items on shelves is a key feature.

Online research says this is just the minerals but kind of defeats the purpose of fancy cocktails when no one wants to drink them because there is a pile of stuff at the bottom of the glass. Also had white debris falling out of the ice dispenser after I turned it off for a week while on vacation. Likely also from the water but dont really want to use the ice dispenser. Im afraid this one is going back to Costco. Everything else about the fridge is great. Really too bad.

Well designed and clever features

Ive had this refrigerator for a few weeks now and its has some cleverly designed features that help keep the fridge organized. I will say the middle cooling drawer is versatile for any need cooling to extra freezer drawer. I was worried moving to a counter depth fridge Id lose items but just the opposite and I dont lose items in the way back of the fridge. Happy with my purchase.

Set Up Incomplete

Love all the neat features however the setup guys forgot to install the water filter so I had water and ice that tasted like chlorine intill I discovered this issue. Maybe a RED flag in the refer to warn others that someone NEEDS to install the filter prior to initial operation.

Craft Ice Maker

The LG refrigerator is great with exception of the Craft Ice Maker. We purchased the refrigerator little over a year ago. At first we were excited about the Craft Ice. Loved the ice balls in that they last a lot longer than regular ice. However within a few months the Craft Ice maker quit working. LG was prompt in replacing the ice maker under warranty however we are now on number three which has quit working. Being the refrigerator is now over a year old and out of warranty I wasnt looking forward to an expensive replacement cost. To my surprise when I called LG for a replacement ice maker the representative said LG has extended the warranty on the Craft Ice maker. I appreciate a company that recognizes they have a problem with their product and doesnt leave the customer high and dry. Hopefully they can fix the issue with the Craft Ice maker because LG makes great products. I would not want this one issue to tarnish their reputation.

Love the features but not the compressor...

We bought this refrigerator almost three years ago. Love the features and the performance. Until just three months shy of its third year in our home when the compressor died. Fortunately we didnt lose any food thanks to our beverage garage fridge and some coolers but we did buy a good bit of ice for the two weeks it took for a certified LG technician to come to our home an replace the offending compressor. LG is standing by its 5 and 10 year warranties so no charge for this repair. We have discovered that LG had some issues with compressors in the past but that the replacement ones are much better than the original equipment. Time will tell...

I specifically wanted a door-in-door as Ive had that on my last 3 refrigerators and love it. I also like the 2 drawer freezer as I can keep frequently used items in the top one. I also like the craft ice. It lasts much longer than cubes. Some cons - air filter is extremely hard to change. The first time I took it off it broke and I had to replace it. Ive only had it a couple months and it seems the ice maker in door gets jammed more frequently than others Ive had. Ive also noticed water on the top of the bottom drawer of freezer. I have seen this twice and dont know where its from.

We bought this refrigerator to replace our old one that froze everything within 3 inches of the back and was loud. This new refrigerator is quiet I mean QUIET I sometimes think its not running. And for the temperature control it is stable throughout. Love the second drawer and the direct a access to the milk area. Over all I love this refrigerator. The one complaint I have is the craft ice. It makes it slow and only makes a few per day. It would be better if it made the craft ice faster. I have to say At this point I have absolutely no regrets about buying this refrigerator and would recommend it to others.

It takes a couple of days for the ice makers to start but that was fine if you plan for it. Dont think the first way you place your food will be the last way. There are many options so be patient and try different things for a few days to see what works best for you.

I have owned this refrigerator since 2/22. Love the features the half door and the look. Unfortunately we have had major issues with the craft ice maker. The original one stopped working in January of this year and the one I bought to replace it from the store we purchased ALL of our LG appliances from just died on us. Hopefully we can get this issue resolved. Honestly love this fridge.

I chose this model mainly for its flexible temperature drawer. And that has been awfully convenient. I was not interested in the door in door and frankly think its silly. Id rather have easier access on shelves on the inside of fridge Im getting used to it. Another feature I dont like and dont use is the craft ice. Instead I shut it down and use the bin for other frozen items. My main early worry was that it took nearly 2 days for the freezer to reach its correct temp. Wish they had a way to show what the actually temp is. A sorely missed feature I had on my 15 year old fridge. But overall Im happy with my purchase.

Love the door within a door

We are totally enjoying our refrigerator - with one exception. We would like to be able to adjust the shelves to allow taller items to be stood up in the refrigerator rather than laid down. The only way to do that is to remove a shelf we need the space. We have pushed in the shelf with the adjustable height to provide more standing room but it is not enough and the space behind it is lost.

We bought the fridge about a month ago. There are a couple of things were having to get used to: 1 you have to hold onto the left door w/ the ice maker when closing it as its heavy will slam 2 the craft ice maker in the freezer only produces a maximum of 6 ice balls day. It would be nice to have the option to make normal ice cubes from the freezer ice maker.

Great counter depth refrigerator

Ive had this refrigerator for over a year and its been great. I did a lot of comparison shopping since I needed to down size from a standard depth fridge and to be honest there is still plenty of room in this fridge. The front convenience door and deli drawer are fantastic There is not as much inside door storage but that was to be expected. The top ice maker produces ice consistently and only backs up when not used every few days. The craft ice maker is pretty cool and makes 3 spheres every few days I think theres a way to make them faster but I need to read up on that. Had a slight issue with the spheres getting stuck early on but that issue was resolved after I updated with the Wi-Fi app. The filters are easy to change out and reasonably priced if you get the universal 2-pack. Overall it is a quiet and cost efficient refrigerator. One of my family members liked it so much they bought the same exact fridge

Ive had LG refrigerator in my houses for a long time and cant imagine not having the door in door feature. I bought a condo that had another brand and had to switch it out even though it was only 5 years old. I love the middle drawer. I use it for the freezer things I use most often like ice cream. The craft ice is something Ive never had before and love it. Unlike the one I replaced this is so quiet I never hear it running. The only thing that is an issue is the air filter on the back wall. It is extremely hard to get off. You have to use a lot of force and Im arthritic and over 70 so thats tough. The first time I finally got it off I broke the tab off that holds it in. When I got the replacement and put it on I again couldnt get it off. I was afraid to force it again. A service man came out and even he had trouble but got it off. He put it on and off several times to try to loosen it up so I could do it. It shouldnt be that hard. I dont remember my other LGs being that difficult.

I had concerns that the refrigerator might not fit or there might be some issues with the operation of the ice maker but there was no need. It has worked perfectly. The door in door feature is great as well as the convertible drawer that can be used as refrigerator or freezer. What a terrific Idea I love this refrigerator and you will too.

Looks great and good use of space in the fridge. The lower freezer drawer does not pull out very far though so this makes storage more challenging. The upper ice maker works well but does run out of ice fairly easily. Love the craft ice - when its working - not working at the moment so awaiting service.

I never thought updating my old refrigerator would make this much of a difference. This refrigerator has ice 3 different types water dispenser and door in door. My favorite feature is the drawer that allows you to change temperature settings to store food at different temperatures. Anything from chilled wine at 41 degrees deli meats 38 degrees cold drinks 33 degrees or make it a freezer drawer I LOVE IT and prefer LG appliances Very reliable in my experience.

Craft icemaker quit working

The main reason we selected this refrigerator was the craft ice. Now after a few months it just quit working. We requested service almost 2 weeks ago and have not heard a word. We requested service again today. We read a lot of complaints about this on the Internet.
