Refrigerator was delivered on Wednesday August 30 2023. On Sunday September 3 2023 refrigerator side will not hold set temperature of 37 degrees. I had placed digital refrigerator thermometers on both sides to make sure refrigerator functioned as it should. Waiting on service.

I really do like the new refrigerator quite a bit great capacity quiet operation lots of light inside. The shelves do not easily adjust for height which is unexpected. A more seriously disappointing item has to do with the power cord of all items: The dimensions for the refrigerator are published and I measured carefully as my space is fully enclosed at the top and sides. The power cord runs directly over the top of the box and is NOT considered in the required dimensions I had to cut a notch the hardwood cabinet above the refrigerator to accommodate the cord. I wasnt pleased but it is hidden.

ICE MAKERS ARE CRAP

Ive had this unit for 1 year and 2 weeks. I have had service techs out over 8 times for this unit. 1st time 2 visits - front of door was smashed upon delivery 2nd time 2 visits - craft ice maker stopped producing ice 6 months in 3rd time 2 visits - craft ice maker stopped producing ice 9 months in 4th time 2 visits - door ice maker stopped producing ice 12 months in If you are a lover of ice this is not the unit for you. Heck if you want a little ice once in awhile dont get this. Customer service is AMAZING though. It just stinks LG uses crappy parts for their refrigerators.

LG needs to redesign the ice makers on this model

Both ice makers failed in the first year. The refrigerator appears to have design flaws otherwise the ice makers would have been working flawlessly. The design is basically good but this model needs a much better warranty. There is lots of room in the refrigerator and freezer halves. Aside from the expensive ice maker repairs I like it.

Not happy with this fridge at all

We have owned this LG model for TWO months. Two weeks ago the in-door water/ice dispenser light went out and the freezer side of the fridge feeling very hot to the touch. We were told to shut off the power source wait 60 seconds then restart the fridge. The light did come back on however this has been a recurring issue with us having to disconnect and reconnect the fridge several times a day. We are waiting on a technician to inspect the fridge to see what is happening.

I had a problem setting the temp. The manual did not work. Your help on line did not help. I looked at a you tube video and saw the solution to my problem. You have to mash or push hard on the pad to get it to change a temp. I have a ccll phone I own a Tesla. I also use my computer alot. You blew this one.....

Poor compressor longevity

Love the door in door feature but after 4 1/2 years the compressors went. Its been a week and LG still cant find a tech to do the work. The local repairman diagnosed problem but doesnt work on compressors anymore- he recommend not buying any LGs as this is a common problem. If LG doesnt get compressor replaced will see if re-imbursement for purchase price or replacement of refrigerator is possible doubt it though.

I bought 2 new LG side by side one with door in door and the other just regular side by side. The door in door has an ice craft thing. WASTE of space. It also has a thing called UVNano light. It runs 10 minutes every hour. CANT shut it off. WASTE of energy. For the rest of this review When I refer to the issues it includes BOTH refrigerators. The ice dispensers dont just make cubes they spit slivers of ice from the top of the dispenser which just cannot be contained and go all over the floor. The area below the dispenser is flat and even it a cube or sliver hit there they bounce onto the floor. The draws are flimsy and you have to reach below the draw to open it. Very inconvenient. For the bottom draw that means having to reach almost to the floor to open it. Back and knee issues so that is a problem for me. I had a door in door LG side by side and except for the fact that the compressor went out twice I did like it. Was leery about getting another one because of compressor issues but bought it anyway. I am VERY disappointed with the new ones.

Bought it 6 months ago to replace old fridge and thankfully just fit into our space. Very roomy craft ice nice Didnt come with any bins so I had to order those it dings if you leave the door open too long and cant turn that off dont care for that. The installers also didnt balance the doors so the door closes on me every time I open it. LG sent a repairmen as we bought the warranty and he said he doesnt do that.

I bought this fridge in Dec. The craft ice make failed in May. Got it repaired in June. It took an act of Congress to get it repaired. Customer service sucked at best and because of that I will never buy LG again. Fridge is just ok nothing special

Love the craft ice-maker shelf space and quick access door that helps economize by not always having to open the full fridge door. Easy to clean stainless steal is much better for preventing hard water build-up. Priced well on sale. Would have preferred a larger water filter so that more than one glass of water could be cooled at a time like my old LG.

I had a 20 year old LG refrigerator that had served its time. I replaced it with another LG refrigerator because I was so happy with the first one. The new fridge is great but the old one did have more features than the new one does. I wish the shelves were adjustable and I miss the setting being on the outside of the refrigerator as opposed to being inside the door. I also like the larger sized ice cubes that my previous LG fridge made. However the craft ice feature on the new one is really cool.

Have only had this refrigerator for one week and I love it Its perfect for my husband and I. Our preference has always been a side-by-side. The storage and the ease of use is exactly what we wanted. I do a lot of cooking and like to have everything I need to use for a 1-2 week time period and it has more than enough room for the food. Lots of shelving on the door as well. I especially like the half door feature that allows us get what we need from the side door without opening up the whole fridge. The freezer has plenty of space particularly with the ice maker on the door. The craft ice maker is a bonus for us and are happy that we have this feature as it is great when making cocktails. If you are shopping for a new refrigerator take a look at this LG refrigerator. You will not be disappointed.

Craft icemaker issues

We have had our refrigerator for approximately six months we were told it made limited amounts of craft ice so wasnt too worried at first when I didnt see much happening then I started running out and finding that it wasnt making more contacted. LG they had me go through a few different procedures and nothing worked till they had me pull the refrigerator unplug it and start over. Perform another cycle on it worked a little now its down again very disappointed with this unit not what I had anticipated.

Good Fridge but controls are awful

Got the refrig about 3 weeks ago and had an awful time with the control panel inside the refrigerator - the touch pad does not work easily and hard to see if things like the ice maker are turned on - instruction manual is not much better - some one should have included in it how to turn the ice maker on. It just says turn on ice maker to make ice and it may take up to 72 hours for first batch. Also... I am having to get lowes to come out and level the refrigerator and doors because the origional installer did not know how to do it. Only other issue is the door in door feature is great but the door is hard to get closed and the sticker on where to touch to close the door is already coming off.

Doors dont close easy

I like this fridge overall but the front door doesnt close easily and if not closed very firmly will pop open. Its annoying. The craft ice is fun but you lose a lot of space in your freezer due to that. Its easy to turn off and use the space as freezer space tho.

My refrigerator is not even 2 years old its about 5 months shy of. I have had to have the icemaker part replaced because the ice built up to the icemaker and pushed against the little tray and broke a piece. THEN the craft icemaker became stuck down in the tray and the tray will not move. ITS STUCK AGAIN FOR 3 NOTICEABLE DAYS RIGHT NOW ALSO now the WATER FILTER will NOT stay in place IT LITERALLY POPS OUT ONCE PUT IN PLACE AS THE BOOK SUGGESTS HOW TO REPLACE. IT HAS ALMOST PUT MY 11 Y/O NEPHEWS EYE OUT ALONG WITH MY BROTHERS IN LAW AND NEPHEWS IN LAW EYES This is insane and dangerous All my nephew was trying to do is get some water. Once you go for water on the outside the filter pops out and shoots forcefully on the other side I do mean dangerous The filter is really a thick piece a plastic bullet

I purchased this refrigerator in 01/2023. Everytime I close the refrigerator side the freezer side opens slightly not enough to set off the dinging noise but enough to ice over everything in the freezer. We have called LG twice troubleshooted with them and nothing helps. The door is actually not even with the refresh door. LG refuses to help or be accountable for a defective freezer door. Will get Thermador next time I get a new refrigerator if Im still alive.

DO NOT purchase this refrigerator for the following reasons: 1. Craft ice maker NEVER works correctly. I can get about 6 pieces before it stops making ice and just floods the ice tray with water. This happens EVERY TIME like clockwork. I am ready to send LG a repair invoice for the time it takes me to unclog it. 2. A couple weeks a chemical smell developed when opening either door. I cleaned everything inside and out replaced water filter removed air filter back to that in a minute and checked for any leaks. Smell wont go away. $300 worth of food ruined because whatever this is makes everything covered or not taste like chemicals. Called 2 days and ticket was made. I was told a supervisor would call me within 24 hours because this is a safety issue. No call yet.... 3. The air filter is a joke. I asked about replacement filters and was told there is no such thing. WHAT?? I understand its reusable BUT....the heat of the sun or the heat from a blow dryer is not enough to make smells go away. But this is the only way to clean these filters per the manual. Any filter eventually breaks down so what to do then???? 3. Latch to door in door broke and no one can direct me on how to go about getting it fixed. So it remains taped shut. This refrigerator is not even 2 years old Way too many problems for something so new and for the $$$$ amount it cost

We purchased the LG side by side almost 1 month ago. So far everything has been great The quantity of ice it makes in a 24 hour period is phenomenal. Extremely quiet the only time I know its running is when it drops a batch of craft ice theyre the size of golf balls. Keeping in mind I HAVE NOT read the user guide yet the only feature that didnt work was the remote diagnostics feature ThinQ. Over-all we are loving the refrigerator and would definitely recommend purchasing it

They dont want to fix the appliances. I tried for over 4 weeks to get our refrigerator fixed because of chemical taste in ice and water. And still not done even thoug we did everything we were told by the installers and the owners manual. When I would call I could never get a human. We finally gave up and are not recommending this company to anybody. Pretty bad when you have big company like this and dont care what the consumers are telling you about your products. And truth be known probably an easy fix. But they just dont care because they have your money.

I like all the features craft ice ice on door quick access on the door. But ice production is slow even on plus and the craft ice maker already went bad after only one year. That means that if I want craft ice every year I will have to buy the ice maker. I actually bought it for the craft ice and now I regret it because of the reliability issue.

Ice Maker doesnt work

I bought this a few months ago because my first LG went out this one immediately started having trouble with both ice makers.. The craft ice only makes about half a sphere and then the other half is full of water so when it falls into the bin it breaks and then they all freeze together into a clump I have also noticed the normal ice maker is having issues sometimes it wont give ice even though the ice maker is full and makes a strange noise like a motor having issues. I have called customer service and they want me to do some sort of update myself I tried but you have to download an app and do all these things I tried but it was complicated. The fridge itself is nice enough but having all these issues and its brand new I would probably get something else next time

I bought this 1 yr 5 months ago. Pro its like a Tardis. It holds an immense amount. Keeps everything cool or frozen. Cons Design flaw on crisper drawer its top is glass and sticks out past the shelves. We broke it in a week. LG replaced it. 3 months later the Craft Ice maker quit. LG replaced it. At 1 yr 5 month mark the compressor quit. LG replaced it. Excellent customer service something I didnt want to personally find out about.

I like the side by side design with a split door allowing us to gray a quick beverage from the door. Highly recommend. Temps are even throughout and love the craft ice maker.

Disappointing reliability and warranty service

I am not satisfied with the performance and reliability of this side by side refrigerator or LG as a brand. The fridge does not get very cold like my old fridge. The dispensed water from the same source as my old fridge tastes like plastic. The ice maker doesnt produce as much ice as my old fridge. The craft ice machine broke in a year and the service from LG has been unsatisfactory. It has taken over a month and still not fixed. Ive called LG numerous times and spent no less than 15 minutes on hold each time. Transferred to the wrong department twice. LG uses A and E 3rd party repair. Cannot even speak to a person at A and E. All automated and no option to speak to a human. Dealing with LG and A and E has been the most dissatisfying experience Ive had regarding an appliance.

Bought this to replace a French door LG fridge that stopped working due to a bad compressor. That being said it was 12 years old. Couldnt find another French door that fit in my budget so I went with this side by side. Plenty of room. Not a fan of the lack of a deli drawer. The craft ice is fun. All in all happy with my purchase.

The side by side doors are okay but I think I would rather have the French door configuration. It just doesnt seem to work for the freezer space when its on the side. The best feature I like is the large balls of craft ice. Unfortunately it must be a new technology as I had to have 2 service calls to fix it. The last call was to replace it with a new redesigned model so hopefully that fixed it.
