Too many Smart features

Bought this washer along with the matching dryer in February. It cleans fine and looks great. Unless your absolutely stupid on how to wash a load of clothes buy a cheaper model and save your money. There are to many so-called Smart features built in. When you pick one of the cycles there is little choices you can make to any of the settings. They now have Dirt sensors which adjusts how long the wash will take. The average load takes about an hour and a half. And dont leave the house after you start a load because if it gets a little off balance it will sit there going back and forth very slowly forever until you stop it. The door rattles like crazy at the beginning and end of a spin cycle. Called for repair and the LG repairman couldnt find any adjustment on the door and blamed the problem on the cheap casing the door closes against. He called it a soup can He tried to bend the front out a little but it still rattles. As far as the lengthy time the repairman told me to stay away from most of the preprogrammed features. Do yourself a favor unless your a complete idiot and have all the time in the world to do laundry buy a cheaper model with a few less features The dryer is the same way it has dampness sensors the time on the display is no indication of how long it will actually take if a damp sock happens to come in contact with the sensor the dry time will increase dramatically frying the rest of the load. The repairman again told me to just stay way from 7 of the 9 dry dry cycles. Again buy a cheaper unit with less features after all you just trying to dry your clothes right. BTW I was told by the repairman that almost all makes of the newer high-end. washers and dryer work the same way regardless of the manufacturer.

This WM 3700 HWA replaced a similar LG model that continually broke down for the four years I had it. Now the motor control board and display board is malfunctioning on a machine lve had less than 2 years. It never lost power but was unable to select any washes because the selector knob just kept spinning around without engaging any wash mode.The tech from AE Factory Service who unfortunately is the only provider my Lowes Extended Warranty Plan uses came and ordered a new motor control board and display board. When he came back to install both parts he saw that the motor control board was a different configuration from the existing one. He was subsequently told that this model has two different versions of the motor control board and you must submit the serial number when ordering the part. He located the supposedly correct one later that day and returned to install it. The selector knob turned to the wash choices but almost every one would not register correctly on the display panel. For example if I wanted to do a Normal wash that is programmed to wash on warm water I couldnt move the temp panel to warm. It would let me choose either hot or cold. When I turned the dial to Delicate wash the water indicator sat on Extra hot. The Sanitary wash mode that is supposed to be Extra hot water would not let me choose it. Some of the different wash modes dont even light up on the panel. A different repair tech came out here again on Friday. He obviously had no idea what the problem is. He reordered the same two parts again thinking they might be defective. Although I told him about the need to use my model AND serial number when ordering I have no reason to think that he did. I couldnt even get the parts numbers that are shipping to me next week. For your information the original two parts that were ordered by the first tech are as follows: Motor Control Board 026/795 #EBR85018201 Display Control Board 026/795 #EBR85194701 I have no faith this machine will be fixed properly. It is now almost two weeks that I have been without a washer. Lowes is useless. AE Factory Service should be forced to close down Google it some time if you want to be astounded by the number of customer complaints but he didnt call me into the room to check it out myself. After he left without testing each s

I purchased the washer and accompanying dryer in mid July 2020. The installer set them up left and then I did a wash. Based on other reviews I knew the wifi might not work in my garage and the controls were hard to see. Both true but not really a problem for me. What was a problem was the loud squeals and groans that could not be right. Ant they wee not. Calls to LG support go to a bot that wants to know the error code there was no error code serial number purchase number. Calls to get a live person were on hold for 56 minutes 48 minutes 37 minutes before I lucked out with a live agent. LG has a vendor who locates a service technician so setting an appointment took over a week. A month after purchase the tech arrived - very professional knowledgeable and replaced the control board. The new one still did not solve the squeals but did have an error code. A week LG shipped them the wrong control board. Another week later they came out and with the right control board and the motor stator. Still did not work. A week later a new control board and a noise filter. They then said they would get LG to replace the washer. They told the TCC Technical Control Center it was not economically viable to repair it. I discovered later the TCC did not put this in their case notes. More calls on hold 20 mins 37 mins then I got the Effective Return Team and they said the claim would take 7-10 days to process. From them it goes to the Executive Return Team with a different 800 number. A week later I called them - they claim had not yet been submitted. On hold 42 miins hung up. Called again and got George. He said the they do not replace washers only send a reimbursement check. He also said the TCC was incomplete and he would reach out to the TCC manager and get the Not repairable added to the case note. He also needed a proof of purchase which I emailed. Finally the next step was the Ultimate Resolution Department. 20 mins on hold 29 mins on hold. called after 4pm and they were closed. A few days later I got through. The Ultimate Resolution Department had all the information but it would take 4-5 weeks. Why? Well it had to go to the Reimbursement Department and that is how long it takes. The agent reassured me they would reach out with an offer by email or phone. The machine I purchased was new - would reimbursement cover the entire cost? Would it include the installation and old machine haul-away? Sales tax? She did not know. To be continued ...

I wouldnt even give it the one star if that was an option Clothes are not as clean as the top loads Ive owned in the past. The te error code keeps returning even after new parts where replaced of course just after the year warranty. One of the stabilizer pistons blew out leaked grease all over. I will never buy LG of anything ever again. I have never written a review on anything but this is such a piece of junk

Severe shaking-Sounds like a helicopter landing

I LOVE the different wash settings and the little water it actually uses... But thats it. We purchased our matching set brand new from Home Depot. Had them delivered and within a couple months started having issues. I have now had two techs come out who both blame me and my load size. I took both their advice and further separated my loads into even smaller loads and made sure I wasnt mixing anything.. Shirts are one load Pants another socks etc All get their own alone time. I was told my Video of my washer self destructing basically was void because there is no proof of what was in the wash at the time. Set up my security camera in the room with date and time stamps and I am SOO glad I did. Finally caught a good video of my washer moving 6 inches and smacking into my shelving unit and the soap dispenser tray being popped out because of the force/vibrations/shaking as well as everything in that load. Do not bother with this washer

Dented tops

We bought these in May from ho.e depot. The tops have little dings in them and the drawer was damaged. Asked lg to sent new parts and we would get it fixed. They sent a drawer but not the tops. Very disappointed. Flimsy set. I would buy the parts myself now but you cant even find parts for these anywhere. Wont buy lg again

Leaves detergent in clothes

This washing machine uses so little water that no matter how many times I run additional full cycles and rinse and spin cycles with no detergent my clothes are still saturated in bubbles. I am using 1.5 teaspoons of powder Tide per load even though the recommended amount of detergent is more than 8 times this amount.

Noisy Washer

I DO NOT like this washer. I never saw a washer make so much noise during a low spin cycle. It makes so much noise and rocks back forth. Every wash load we feel like it might explode. Please see the video attached before discarding this review. I am forced to use the Pedestal washer which can take in small loads I think you can assume how long it takes me to wash all my household clothes. I have been trying to contact the customer service never got a call back I also understand because of COVID Crisis things might be a bit delayed but I never any kind of communication Very disappointed with this product. I really hope this is a faulty product.

Its been a HORRIBLE washing machine It keeps having water in the laundry detergent dispenser bleach dispenser and even fabric softener. Water just SITS there and I have to dump it every time Its a disgrace that I have a washing machine that I have to take the laundry detergent tray out EVERY TIME I do a load to empty water out of it so mold and mildew does not just sit I am VERY disappointed with LG customer service. I purchased this washer about 3 weeks ago. The only issue I have is that even though the floor is stable and it is level the loads get out of balance and you need to manually readjust the load. Also have issues with water not completely emptying out of the soap/fabric softener cups. The contents leave but water remains in cups.

I purchased the wm3700hva new on sale during a Thanksgiving promotion. After much research I was happy choosing Lg. I went with this suped up model because the sales brought it to nearly the same price as the others models with less bells and whistles. I have tried most of the functions and they work fine but now that my excitement has calmed and I no longer watch the turning of each cycle start to finish normal function gets chosen more often than not. I am truly amazed at how clean my clothes are. Now I know what I thought smelled clean coming out of my old top loader that hailed from the early eighties was not. This washer even got the stink out of my dogs bed 60# dog 2x3 raised sides bed fits great just be sure to wash all the parts/ pillows of the bed together to keep the load balanced.

The beater bar in the drum chipped with normal use. Just laundry for my husband and I. It was replaced but required removal of the entire drum. Since then it has vibrated so loud on spin that it can be heard throughout my 2 story house. The technician/service dept is difficult to reach. The self help on line was not helpful. I have owned a washer just like this one for years with no problems but this new one is a problem.

Does not do small loads

Purchased on 11/14/19. From the start the machine would give an error message 1E service was out multiple times to replace MULTIPLE PARTs on a brand new machine. Was told only to use settings on left side. INCREDIBLE. This lemon was replaced on 1-31-20. And so far I get the same error message on small loads. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS MACHINE. BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY

We recently bought an LG 3700 Front Load Washing Machine to replace our 6 yes only 6 year old Whirlpool Duet. I like the LG a lot plus it has a warranty on the motor. The only feature I miss is fanfresh that kept the clothes from getting stinking after the wash was complete. The LG was a good replacement overall and is the highest rated on Consumer Reports which is important since our Whirlpool died much sooner than it should have.

I bought this 10 days ago. I had to call during the first wash. The drum when it spins makes a very loud banging noise. The operator on the phone heard it also. Not happy at all. Now I have to have repair guy come for a 2 week old product. . I was in the phone with Ivy for 45 mins. She was great. I bought this because my original washer the front door popped open flooded. Repair guy said. I dont know what to tell you. Not happy about that either

Replacing 12 Year Old LG Front Load Washer

Last month my 12 yr old LG front load washer began sounding like a jet plane. I then started getting a Overload fault. A Tech inspected and confirmed my suspicions that the mag drive bearing was bad. The cost to repair replace motor drum with labor was going to be more expensive than buying a new unit. The old washer had 3 yr warranty on mag motor the new washer motor now has 10 yr warranty. Maybe I can hope to get 20 years out of it.

Unfortunate purchase

I purchased this 2 months ago because my Samsung washer had an expensive to fix issue. I relied on the high ratings on Consumer Reports. It took 4 trips to get balanced and even now it shakes more than my other unit. It is also much louder with high whining noise. I would not purchase this washer again

I bought this washer 2 weeks ago. It runs well so far. The noise level is reasinable. Original installation has some issues causing vibration but goes well after adjust the screw at the bottom.
