I am not someone who usually writes reviews good or bad. But I had to for this. This is going to be long. If you want clean clothes this is not for you We have only had it a few months and I have hated this machine since we got it. I didnt think anything could be worst than our old washer. Yes we have followed all the directions and specifications. We are still constantly going to the manual and online to make sure we are doing everything right.
-I understand that normal wash setting is water saving. But it doesnt even get the clothes all wet. Ive tried different size loads to compare. Forget about it smelling clean. We have to use the deep wash setting with the water plus option to get any clean results. Or have to washing things twice. No water saving there.
- I never see soap at all. We have tried powered pods and liquid detergent. The machine doesnt rotate fast enough to see the actual soap working. It moves back and forth but very slowly. The spin cycle works so I know it can move. You can see the same clothes just sitting on the top of everything. All you see is dirty water. Sometimes there is soap residue left on things.
- We bought this for few different options: One was because of the large capacity. Well you cant fill it more than 1/2 way if you want relatively clean clothes. We like the large capacity because it said it was good with dog beds and had the allergen cycle which is 3 hours. I vacuum the crates mats before putting them in. They are not huge and bulky. Ive used different settings to see what will work best. They come out with clumps of hair on them and hair left in the machine. no the drain isnt blocked. Even after 2 washes they are still gross.
-Washing bedding is a joke. It sits in one place and doesnt even get the whole comforter or sheets wet. And no we dont mix the sheets with blankets. Again you have to use the water plus option. And still the top of the blankets dont get washed.
- Athletic ware never gets clean anymore new or old. I have to soak them in the bathtub to get any results. Even after washing in the machine with athletic wear detergent. Forget about getting baseball pants clean anymore.
The only things I like are the clear top to see whats going on. I liked the idea of the more setting options than my old machine. Water temp soil levels and spin selection are good options. I like that you can see how long a load will take and how much time you have left. It is relatively quiet. Thats all like about this thing.

This is the worst appliance Ive ever owned. It does a poor job in actually washing the clothes It also cant handle bedding. It constantly will read as uneven and when you try to spin cycle only it just fills the tub up with water again. The dryer is no better. Please dont waste your money on this product.

We bought this to replace a 16 year old washer that started leaking. This machine is very different from our old machine having extensive computer control and an impeller instead of an agitator. Getting used to all of the options to make sure that there is enough water at least to our estimation and that the clothes are cleaned will take some time. In the meantime I believe it will all work out. I encourage buyers to carefully review the manual and Quick Start Guide for tips and guidelines.
The significant plus to ordering directly from LG was the delivery service we had the machine delivered and installed and our old machine hauled away. David and his helper were amazing. They not only removed their shoes before coming into the house but carefully moved the old and new washers using a special blanket sliding it on the floor to make sure the flooring was protected they did use a hand truck outside our house. They also had me inspect the machine after they unpacked it but before they brought it into the house...it was pristine with no scratches or dents. David also was knowledgeable about using the machine and coached us with enough info to get us started.
We have an LG range that we bought and had delivered from a big home improvement store and did not have the best experience. If I knew buying from LG direct would always get the great delivery service that we had with the washer it would definitely cause me to factor it into the buying decision.

I finally have a washer that is big enough to wash my bed spread It does a great job with it as well as with much smaller loads. I love the notifications in the app when my wash is complete as my washer / dryer are in the garage so I dont hear them. The variety of settings is fantastic. Also being able to use the turbo wash actually run a load in less than an hour and a half is wonderful

When we decided to get a new washer I saw the LGs were highly rated. So we got this one. No regrets. It washes well it spins better than our old machine the clothes are dryer when they come out.
The only complaint is that some of the cycles like Delicate are quite long. Normal on the other hand is only 1/2 hour.

Ive had the washer for a week and Im not impressed. No matter what Im washing or what the setting is the top half of clothes at least dont get wet. Some items end up finally getting wet halfway into the load but only from the wetness creeping up during movement. Top layer never gets agitated yes I know its an impeller system into the soapy water. Yes Im using HE yes water hoses are clear yes Im loading appropriate amount of clothes/bedding but this high efficiency machine is only that because is used 1/3 less water than it actually needs. Adding extra water helps but completely defeat the purpose of choosing the machine for its efficiency.
Not impressed by the design of this machine with minimal water and minimal agitation. Clothes can not be getting any cleaner even partially as my 21 yr old unit that this replaced.

I bought this about a month ago which is why I did not give excellent I would need more time. My clothes are clean and soft coming out of the washing machine without using rinse products. The fabrics seem to be less damaged because there is no agitator. I have put it through its first Turbo clean cycle.

This washing machine does not fill up with enough water. When I try to wash bed half of the sheets stay dry. I called a repairman. He said nothing is wrong its because the machine save water. He suggested I was the sheets twice take them out when the first wash is over and turn the pike over and wash again this means double the time spent double the water used and double the detergent which does not get rinsed out. Plus I am short and have a bad back this is making me dread doing the wash. Ps the long kitchen tongs I have to use are not strong enough to pick up the sheet

Have not used top loader washer for twenty years. Always though front loaders are more efficient cleans better and less water.
So far smaller loads are ok. Will increase to larger loads and comforters washing. A true test. Very skeptical but we will see. Hope it works good. If not will be very disappointed and will not buy top loader again

The washer is quiet I like the temperature and cycle options. I can wash a comforter. I cannot reach the bottom to get clothes. I had to buy a grabber. I didnt realize how deep it was. I think it will save money as it measures the water by load and adjusts time based on sensing.

i bought this washer and matching drier almost a month ago and i will say i am still learning all its abilities. I did setup the Wi-Fi with both machines and it is nice that they communicate with Alexa and with each other as i am finding out which is pretty cool for instance we did a load of towels when they were ready to be dried I didnt have to turn the selector to towels it had already done that for me so their is adaptive learning with these machines which is awesome the washer is quite and cleans cloths so much better then my old machine did . yes i would recommend these machines .

This washer replaced a previous LG washer that I had had for 7 years. The original was still working but beginning to show some minor wear and we caught a sale and decided to replace it.
The washer is huge which I love. I chose the model with an impellar rather than an agitator as I like the extra space it affords me. It is very deep and at 54 I sometimes struggle to reach the items at the bottom but that is a minor inconvenience Im willing to trade for the washer size. We have well water and I appreciate the stainless steel tub which is just one less thing to worry about staining. Hook up was simple and easy and it came with the necessary hoses. I love that it can sense the size of the load and actually adjusts the wash time accordingly saving me time and money. The Wi-fi works flawlessly and I like getting a notification that the load is finished. It does and excellent job washing and rinsing. I use a powder detergent and it handles it just fine. I did have to do some reading to understand how the normal cycle with the prewash works as I was initially confused by the beeping tone which only signals that the pre-wash is complete and other items can be added. Being old school I would appreciate having the info on all the features in the accompanying booklet but they are easily located online. Im unsure how often I will use the Allergine feature but its nice to know that I have that option. I had no issues with odors with my previous LG as I always leave the lid open for air to circulate after a wash and Ill treat this one the same.
All in all this is a great washer and Im happy to have it in my home.

Had this washing machine for a couple of weeks and Im happy with its performance so far. The fill capacity is excellent the clothing gets clean and the spin cycle seems to extract water very well. It makes a soft high pitched noise during some parts of the wash cycle which my kids find annoying but it doesnt bother me. I like the mobile notifications when a cycle is complete as well. The user guide is a bit lacking with information on how the wash cycles differ from each other.
