Love this Whisper-quiet dishwasher

can't say enough good things about this dishwasher it delivers on sound level - you can have a quiet conversation with someone even if you're standing next to it in mid-wash; sleek and beautiful design with all controls hidden at the top away from my grandchildren's inquisitive fingers; performs on cleaning and drying as well as sanitizing (big plus); 3rd rack is actually useable for large knives/tools/utensils; upper rack is flexible for mugs, wine or regular glasses; lots of capacity for dishes and bowls. i'm so glad we selected this model over other brands/models only disappointment was waiting until january '22 for delivery after ordering it in october '21 selected this model after lots of research and reviewing multiple ratings sites. good for the budget and excellent for performance

big hassle with installation

haven't used it yet, but my contractor had trouble installing it. tried to get help from samsung, i chatted online with samsung only to realize it's the wrong department. called the right department but wait was over 2 hours. texted samsung and heard back 24 hours later. apparently i just needed a power cord kit that wasn't included with my dishwasher, which caused multiple delays bc my contractor didn't know that he needed it. he thought it was just an extension cord. had samsung included this simple cord ($12), it would save everyone a lot of hassle

This dishwasher has caused us nothing but problems

we have had it for almost a year now and for the first month it was installed it worked great. the dishwasher then started showing lc error codes and wouldn't complete a wash cycle. we had to make multiple service appointments over a month to 2 month period. every time we made an appointment it was a 1 to 2 week wait because they had too many service appointments scheduled. this whole time we didn't have a functioning dishwasher. they ended up replacing multiple parts including the control panel. the dishwasher worked ok for the next 6 months where we would get an error code every now and then but if we waited a day it would typically start working again. now we are experiencing the same problem where the dishwasher will not complete a cycle.

Auto door open

The sleek look of this dishwasher is what got my attention to start. I really like the fact that when it is done drying, the door opens automatically. A perplexing thing is that my middle rack will slide out on its own. Not sure if that is because it wasn't installed correctly (i did pay for professional install) or if it is something faulty on the machine? I have also had issues with pushing the buttons on the top. I have to push the power button multiple times in order to get it to turn on. Other that these 2 minor things, it works well, is quiet and looks sleek!

my dishwasher is a year old and just out of warranty. naturally it now is throwing a leak code even though it's not leaking. i just spent one hour on chat to schedule a service call (i'll have to pay for) only to be told to wait 1-2 days to get a call from a technician to then set up an appointment. unbelievable. last time i buy a samsung kitchen appliance. one year old and im already paying to fix it - once someone calls to set up the service appintment.

We've had this dishwasher for 2 months now and my only regret is that we didn't get it sooner! The delivery and installation through Samsung was seamless. The third rack is something I can not live without now. The adjustability for the cups on the middle rack is something I never knew I needed and is amazing for maximizing space. It is shocking just how quiet this dishwasher is! I'm in love with this dishwasher!

Fault code LC issue

like the product and have used it about 3 months now. several weeks ago got lc code (indicated water leak), following on line directions i reset (turn power off 10 minutes) and it went away. 2 weeks later happened again but this time there was actual water dripping. pulled unit out, checked all hoses, cleaned screens, dried bottom pan with the moisture sensor and now everything ok. problem is i found no smoking gun and i did have water leak the last time. a lot on line about this recurring issue and many fix by disabling moisture sensor.

Broke after 3 weeks (~10 cycles)

the dishwasher drain motor broke after three weeks. i cannot schedule service or report a claim in warranty for 2 more weeks due to covid. then and only then i can actually schedule an appointment. samsung chat support has shown no interest in making this right and has redirected me to the web form only. i also purchased the samsung extended warranty with this product (5 year samsung care+). don't lose your samsung account as that is the only way to do a warranty claim. i was planning to buying other appliances but based on this experience i am reconsidering my purchasing.

Got a lemon - it leaks - but it cleans dishes well

Showed up and started leaking. Looks like the basin wasn't appropriately attached to the frame and i'm leaking out of those connections to the point where we can't use it without risking damaging our floor. I have a repair ticket open now but as of ~48hs, I do not have a repair appointment scheduled.

this dishwasher is by far the quietest on any we've owned. but it fails to do what it is intended to do - clean the dishes! there is black scum on everything and it stinks worse than the septic. but it's just like the refrigerator we have that dumps ice cubes on the floor (but they fixed it!) not going to bother with a service call. they couldn't make the ice maker work when they were here! don't waste your money!

Quiet Dishwasher

I was very excited for a new dishwasher but no one was more excited than my wife. She was the one that chose this dishwasher. The best part was I didn't have to do anything - I came home and the new dishwasher was all set up, working just fine and the old dishwasher carted off. Easiest experience ever. My main complaint on past dishwashers are the noise level. This dishwasher is so quiet I don't even know its on. My wife is happy with it so that makes me happy.

compared to my previous dishwasher, i would give this one a 10/10. it is very sleek, and best of all has a 3rd row for silverware, it is very spacious and when used properly has no streaks inside the dishwasher, or in the cookware. What i love about it the most is that the buttons are placed on the top of the dishwasher, making it inaccessible for my little one, since the previous dishwasher was broken due to the baby always pressing the buttons (because the buttons were placed in the front). another thing i love from the dishwasher, is that it has a automatic detection button that automatically detects how dirty the pots and pans are, and washes accordingly. overall we are very satisfied.

Firstly, I wanna say it's so quiet, that I can actually watch tv while dishwasher is on, without any disturbance. It took me some time to get adjusted to 3 racks, but now I got so habit of it, that can't think of a dishwasher without 3 racks. I love it's features of height adjustable middle rack, it really helps me fitting my big dishes better. Also it has auto door release after every wash, which I find very useful, my dishes are fully dried , I guess because it takes out all the steam or vapors out with its door opening.

i've only had this for a week and this is very impressive. replaced my 10 yr old ge washer which was very loud and now i don't even notice if the washer is running or not. cleaning is very good, greasy oily pans and bowls come out clean. but on 3rd rack, spoons and forks must be prewashed good, i noticed some food debris on spoons. top control is amazing just because my baby doesn't play with it anymore. haha. auto release works like charm every time. it helps drying a bit but they are still fairly wet. i've read 1 star reviews and people complained about machine not working and samsung service is bad. i just hope that my washer stays the way it is now for long time. that's my only concern.

I'm lucky enough to live with this amazing dishwasher. It is extremely easy to use and super quite! The stainless steel inside and out looks amazing and compliments the kitchen so much. I have already showed friends and family how beautiful it looks as well as all the space inside! The third top rack is perfect for small baby straws and bottle pieces so you can easily wash them without adding anything extra to the dishwasher. The cleaning functions are amazing and it makes my life so much easier just turning on the dishwasher and not having to worry about a thing. Everything comes out spotless clean and dry and I couldn't ask for anything more.

Best Dishwasher I've Ever Had

I am not exaggerating when I say the StormWash™ 42 dBA Dishwasher is the best appliance I have ever owned. From what I understand, the Stormwash feature uses rotating jets to clean, and whatever they're doing it is working. Even dishes that aren't prewashed and have been left in the sink overnight with food residue come out sparkling. The rotating StormWash jets also help to get into the corners and edges of each dish so there's no more food residue on the corners or lips of Tupperware and pots. At the end of each cycle, the dishwasher door opens slightly to release steam so my dishes not only come out spotless but also bone dry even without the use of a drying agent. I love the versatility in the interior design of the dishwasher, with adjustable racks and a third top drawer for oddly shaped kitchen utensils like spatulas, citrus juicers, and reusable straws. The aesthetic of the dishwasher is gorgeous from the inside out, with a shiny stainless steel interior drum and exterior door, and the sleek top controls that are hidden when the door is closed. However aside from the incredible cleaning power and stunning design, the aspect of this appliance that really stunned me was how quietly it operates. Every time we run a load my family and I are in shock at how quiet it is, I honestly don't understand how it's possible for a dishwasher this powerful to be that silent. We have an open floor plan kitchen/ living room/dining room so it's nice that I can run a load of dishes and not have it interfere with our movie nights or family dinners. Overall I am blown away by how incredible this dishwasher is and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking.

WORST DISHWASHER & CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

i've never left a review. that's how much i hate this dishwasher. long story short: don't buy it, or anything from samsung. we got this dishwasher in feb. by march, it was broken. only lasted 1 month. samsung sent out 5 different techs to fix it, & replaced 4 parts over the span of several weeks. nothing worked. we've called them over 10 times. they've promised us a return, never called back, & canceled our case without telling us. we've now been without a dishwasher for 2.5 months and can't seem to get anyone at samsung to help us out. they keep putting us on hold or dropping our calls. it's the worst customer service i've ever experienced. don't waste your $ on this. when it breaks (and it will) samsung will put you through the wringer. we'll never buy from them again.

Dishwasher did fit perfect in designed spot under countertop.After installing,we run first cycle and....all you can here is water spraying....very quiet.We washed dishes,no complain at alll.My wife loves it,save a lot if time,soap,stress.She is enjoying this washer as much as she can,even if she was not so excited when i order it.Dishes are coming spot clean,no noise at all,a lot of functions,nice design,fits perfect in our kitchen,and match exactly our range.The setup of controls is good ,could be improved.In our designed spot,dishwasher dont fit exactly under the countertop,and some dirt fall on top of controls,but i think is my countertop failt.We tried normal cycle,normal +stormwash ,express 60 with pretty dirty dishes,and washing was great.Auto ,heavy delicate,and sanitize cycle not tried yet,but we think will not disappoint. The leak detection sensor ,personally i think is a great addition,and a great future,but fortunely we did not had to see it in use.Another excellent future is autorelease drying door.After 2 different little songs,i can here an click for releasing the lock,and door is opening not to much ,not to little,just as it should.We love it and we did an Good choice!!!

14 month old gently used dishwasher...pump went out. no luck in getting it fixed either! samsung was gracious enough to agree to pay for the part, but they utilize substandard repair companies to do the work. the guy that eventually showed up was een shocked the pump went out, said it would take a week to come in and im still waiting. no luck in getting them to call me back either!!! got this from lowes on sale...now i know why!!!! never again. looks sleek and was queit when it worked. now it's silent!!! junk!!!

A Lean Mean Cleaning Machine!

Samsung products continue to improve with each generation, and this generation of the DW80R7060US Samsung Dishwasher is nearly perfect. Built out of beautiful fingerprint-resistant stainless steel and lined through the interior with high gloss stainless steel, the dishwasher looks as great as it cleans. The exterior steel has a beautiful sheen that perfectly matches other Samsung Stainless appliances, but it is not so unusual that it would not match other non-Samsung appliances. On the interior, there are three racks, starting with a silverware, utensil rack at the top, and then the usual stemware/glassware top rack, and finally the larger rack for plates, pots, and pans. The utensil rack is unique, and I have not seen such a rack on other dishwasher brands. Coming from a non-Samsung dishwasher, I was skeptical of the utensil rack and whether it was any better than the standard utensil basket inserts - it is much better! Using the rack allows you to insert more utensils and keeps each one separate for cleaning instead of a basket where all the silverware lumps together. As a result, the utensils emerge from the dishwasher sparkling clean, without any crusted food, and with no water spots. While it certainly isn't as fast as dropping the spoons, forks, and knives into a basket, I don't mind the extra time to make sure the silverware comes out clean the first time. The second rack is the usual top rack, but Samsung added some extra features to make it even better. The end rows on each side of the rack are each adjustable separately to use one row for stemware, small cups, mugs, or larger glasses and coffee mugs. What an ingenious idea. It is a simple concept, but it makes a huge difference in increasing the overall space for loading dishes. The bottom rack is basically a bottom rack for pots and dishes, but it has fold-down sections to allow for large-item cleaning. I can stick my dog's entire Neater Feeder on the bottom rack for cleaning. Finally, the dishwasher is so quiet that I must check twice to make sure it is even running. With Samsung's StormWash technology, you are guaranteed a dishwasher spot-free clean. The different cleaning options (60 min quick wash, top rack only, heavy, delicate, and rinse only) are icing on the cake. And as usual, there is a heated drying option. My favorite part – the dishwasher door opens by itself at the end of each cleaning cycle to help the dishes dry! Wow, Samsung. Just Wow.

Sleek and Super Quiet

Love my new dishwasher. I thought my old dishwasher was good but boy was I wrong. It's not until I got this state of the art dishwasher that I realized what a great dishwasher really is. The dishwasher is incredibly sleek and adds an elegant look to the kitchen. I also love how quiet the dishwasher is. Its so quiet that I often have to stop and listen to it to see if it is working. The fingerprint free stainless works fantastic and really helps when my girls are in the kitchen baking. The moment it entered our home, I was impressed with how it looked. And now after using it for more than a month, I must say that this has not let me down for any reason. I absolutely loves its 3rd rack, it washes my silverware and also any long spatulas super clean. And then it's adjustable middle rack, is just mind blowing.. it really helps adjusting big dishes. Also I think I must mention it's awesome feature of self opening door once it's done cleaning, which is very useful in releasing the steam and drying the dishes. So in all this is the best dishwasher, and you will really look forward to wash dishes with this one.

Love love love my new Samsung dishwasher. Delivery and installation went very smoothly with no issues. I ran a test wash with no dishes. Then loaded the dishwasher up and ran a normal cycle. It's a great dishwasher - all my dishes have come out clean and dry. We use a lot of plastic drinkware like tervis tumblers and they all came out dry. I use the upper rack for larger utensils and use 1 utensil basket on the bottom rack. The middle rack is adjustable and I have used it multiple times and love that option. I also love how the middle rack you can adjust the sides depending on the type of drink ware. I really love this dishwasher. Oh and it's super super quiet. We ran it at night and I didn't hear it at all. Sounds is a big issue for us because our kitchen is open floor plan so if it's in use it does affect the entire household. However with this dishwasher you do not hear a thing! Love this dishwasher and so happy with it in every way.

Powerful dishwasher!

For me there are three major factors to consider when selecting a dishwasher, everything else is secondary. How quiet it is , how well it cleans and how well it dries. Advanced features, bells and whistles aren't as important to me as baseline functionality. In the case of this Samsung dishwasher we were more than impressed. While I had high expectations for a dishwasher at this price range this has far exceeded them. To start with it's almost silent. I've had quiet dishwashers before but there's always been some noise especially in the drain pumps. In this case you can stand right next to it and most of the time can't tell if it's running. I have the perspective of another current model from the same manufacturer which is down one price level and for a 10 to 15% difference in price you would think would expect it to be marginally better. Our experience is that it is half as loud, cleans twice as good and everything is consistently dry. If you have an open floor plan and are going to be running your dishwasher while you're in the room it is money well spent to buy the more expensive and quieter model. If you're going to use the delay start feature and or not be in the room while it is running the noise might not be as big of a factor to you. As for the cleaning, it was a noticeable upgrade as well. We can put in dishes, pots and pans without rinsing and they still come out clean. Drying has been something I'd almost given up on but again I was so impressed that I thought maybe the first couple of loads were just a fluke. Now after a few weeks it's consistently drying dishes better than any washer I've owned before it. One of the features is a 3rd upper rack, I would say it can be a nice feature for some people but I wouldn't let that make the decision for you, we're getting used to using it but if we did not have it I don't know if we'd miss it that much.

I love the way it looks. It doesn't show fingerprints or pawprints, as the case may be. It is very quiet, which is a huge plus. Sometimes we don't know it's on, till the door pops open at the cycle's end. It is huge, as it seems to hold more dishes, but is really the same size as our last one. I really like the option of the 3rd rack for silverware. Nothing falls through. I like how we could reconfigure it by flipping down prongs and could fit a really large baking sheet. Then we were excited to be able to adjust the height of the 2nd shelf, raising it up so it could fit. And it was so easy to do. No problems. We really really like this dishwasher.

Very impressed with our new dishwasher so far. We were very excited to get this because of all the new features that our old washer didn't have. It is very quiet indeed with just the 42 Db, the difference between this and the sound the old one we replaced is very noticeable! The design is very sleek and beautiful, so whoever did the engineering of this washer should get a pack on the back for creating such a good looking dishwasher. The installation went smoothly and easy because the instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow and my hubby took about 30 minutes to fully install it make it operational. The finger-print resistant is something that we really liked about Samsung appliances and we're glad that this have that feature as well; it's a lifesaver if you have small kids! So far, we've tried all the settings to see how good it is in cleaning and I could say we are beyond thrilled on how clean the dishes when done all the time. The drying is also one feature that we liked; the dishes come out completely dry without me having to dry them more on the manual dishrack. The auto-release feature is definitely a plus for doing the drying better. Overall, we are very happy with this machine and we could not ask for a better one this time. Thank you, Samsung for making such great products in the market!

huge upgrade from the previous owner installed bosch. actually cleans, so quite that you can be standing next to it and not hear any noise, even with storm wash mode activated. i like the flexibility of the height adjustment of the racks

We having been using our StormWash Stainless Steel dishwasher for a few months now, and could not be more pleased. Samsung has gone out of its way to make such a great quality product. We had issues with our prior dishwasher, including leaks! This dishwasher came at just the right time. The top settings are hidden to create a sleek stylish look. We choose the model with the inner handle so that the kids would not knock into it and are less inclined to try and pull it open. Did I mention it is fingerprint resistant as well? The inner design has all the bells and whistles that you'd expect, include the silverware trays and upper tray for miscellaneous items. It runs really quiet, and after a load is finished the door will open a few inches to prevent molding and improve drying. I could not be more happier, and would definitely recommend this dishwashers to others. @WAE1

Really digging this dishwasher, it's built very well, looks amazing, runs quiet and cleans exceptionally. I have never owned a dishwasher that has cleaned so well. There are ZERO water spots on my glasses or silverware. I like the top tray for the silverware drawer - it's a great place to put the stainless steel straws! I'm very happy with this purchase. I do wish the drawer that holds the cleaning detergent worked a bit differently, it's just a bit to get used to - nothing major but just an observation. All in all this is a wonderful product that works extremely well. I've done about 3 washes so far and the results are consistent every time.

I was very excited to receive this dishwasher. My delivery went well, my old dishwasher was "hard-wired" so they were not installing. I did hire a certified installer and had to have an outlet installed under my sink for the dishwasher to be plugged in. The installation was pretty straight-forward and my installer had no issues. Wow! my dishes are so clean and dry too. I love the third rack and use it for my sharp knives and also lids to "sippy" cups. This dishwasher is easy to load and I've put pots, pans, cookie sheets, and lots of dirty dishes, cups and wine glasses in it. It fits a lot of dishes and being able to adjust the top rack is great. I use the slots in one of the silverware baskets and not in the other. Some of my flatware has heavy handles and does not fit into the slots. I have used all the different cycles except delicate. I like the sanitize option and the "stormwash" option. It definitely gets my pots clean and I don't have to wash them first! The hidden controls are good and keeps little fingers from playing with the buttons. The only problem I had was with the buttons-- I was "pushing" them too hard, you only have to lightly place your finger on the button to power on, select the wash cycle and start. It's very quiet and we can watch TV and not have to turn the volume up anymore. The dishwasher does pop open just prior to the end of the dry cycle and when it's complete it plays a little tune to let you know its done. My kids love that and now they want to help unload. Overall I am very happy with this dishwasher and have already recommended it to several family members. It cleans well, is quiet, easy to load, and looks great in my kitchen. Oh and No Fingerprints!!

I would firstly like to say that I love this dishwasher The stainless steel looks sleek and high end . The dishes comes out dry and clean, note the door pops open when done . It makes the entire kitchen looks better because of it. The racks are large and can store a lot of dishes, we load the bigger bowls and plates in the lowest rack and they have a special rack up top for the spoons and forks. We love it and have gotten so many compliments for it. We highly recommend it.

I love this dishwasher! The stainless steel in and out looks amazing. The dishes comes out dry and clean. Looks beautiful in the kitchen with other stainless steel dishwasher. The different settings on it are astounding! I never knew how many extra settings can be on a dishwasher. While it is running it is extremely quite you can barely hear it running. I love the 3rd rack it is perfect for baby bottle tops so there not thrown around the bottom racks. The bottom rack has a setting so you can put bigger pots and pans. It has a wine and different glass setting on the second rack so you can properly place the glasses. The wife is happy and i get a ton of compliments on the dishwasher. Overall this dishwasher is amazing and I have no complainants.

I could not be happier with our new Samsung Dishwasher. The quiet cycle is so quiet, I can't even tell if it's is running! I love the delay start feature that allows us to set it for a certain time to begin. I also love the added extra space on the top shelf for silverware and small things!! DO NOT BUY PROBLEMATIC MACHINE

we purchased this dishwasher 16 weeks ago. it broke 8 weeks later -- it would not fill with water. samsung sent someone to service the machine. after 3 trips to repair it, the machine was filling with water again (somehow a wire had failed). in order to "fix" the machine, the repairman completely disassembled it. of course, once reassembled it no longer worked properly. it screeches when working, the water inlet vale opens and closes too suddenly causing massive water hammer (this didn't happen before). it runs extremely loudly (not 42db). in the past few days, the dishwasher no longer drains at the end of the cycle. rather, it requires a manual drain every time you run it. i cannot recommend any more strongly that you do not buy this machine.

How I love my Samsung StormWash™ 42 dBA Dishwasher!! Let me count the ways. I was SO excited when they delivered it that I forgot to take any photos. Plus they were super fast. It took them less than 30 minutes to set it up and haul away the old one. It is sleek and beautiful! It comes in Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel, so YAY! Also, it is virtually silent, thanks to their Whisper Quiet Cleaning. It's so quiet, that I forget it's on. I love that the top drawer adjusts up and down, in case you have a large item on the bottom. Also, I knew I would love the 3rd rack for the silverware and I do. It makes it really easy to put them away when done. I love that on the bottom rack, you can reconfigure by just folding down the prongs. It is nice that it vents the steam automatically at the end of the cycle. It also has multiple cycles to choose from. All in all, I really love this dishwasher. It's easy to load and unload and it is beautiful outside and in. SO happy with this purchase. Thank you.

Previous to getting this dishwasher I had not realized that Samsung was in the market of dishwashers and was a bit skeptical of how it would perform. I have to say that I am well and truly surprised by how great this machine runs. It is powerful, yet quiet. You only hear a soft hum.. Some of the best features is its ability to clean stuck on gunk and grease off dishes. Some dishwashers will clean well, but not completely dry. That is not the case with this dishwasher. The AutoRelease door feature enhances the drying by slightly cracking open at the end of your wash to vent the damp air. There's a 3rd rack for additional utensils and/or silverware. Adjustable upper rack when needed for tall items. We have a lot of dishes daily but for those households where only a few dishes need washing there is a half load feature which saves energy and water. It is sleek and beautiful and is fingerprint resistant which is great for homes with kids. Our dishwasher has an integrated handle that sits flush so that there is nothing to bump into or catch clothing on. I am really pleasantly surprised with this dishwasher. It meets ALL our requirements and I 100% recommend it.
