Had High Hopes!

After our old stove started acting up, we decided it was time to look for another one. This had great reviews and many of the newest features such as being able to be synced with your phone, and the split oven, I thought might be a nice option for kitchens that cannot accommodate double ovens. Both ovens do heat up quickly. Now the problems and the reasons behind the one star rating. This stove is used every day, many times a day. It was not purchased to be a show piece. The oven does not come with a third rack. This is a shortfall when you do not use the split oven function (a divider you need to insert cannot be used as a rack because it is solid). The divider is stored in the drawer at the bottom so now the drawer cannot be used to store pans. The top oven does not reach the correct temperature. It is off by 50 degrees whereas with most convections you deduct 25 degrees to equal a regular oven temperature. The top oven only has a convection oven capability. Lately, when both ovens are in use at the same time, a loud rattling sound occurs. The fan, which vents on the top of the oven in the back, is very loud. I tried to find an oven that did not vent in the back of the stove top, because it is difficult to keep clean. Splatter, food can end up in the vent. No way to clean it once something gets inside. The cook top is nice, with many options for pan sizes. However, it is not wide enough to bridge the gap to your existing counter. This requires the purchase of rather "ugly" expensive side inserts. If the glass top was just a half inch wider on each side, there would be no issue with this. Apparently, this is one way to save on cost. The glass, for some reason is very difficult to clean even with the recommended cleaning products and procedures. Our previous glass cooktop was easy to clean. The controls are digital and take some getting use to. You have to make sure you press the round dial to get everything to start. If not it stays in limbo. A warning sound would help avoid this problem. And if you inadvertently press the dial, everything can get turned off etc, highly sensitive. I hope the dial does not break. If it does, the oven will not work. The owner's manual provided with the stove is so vague. It is not always possible to access a computer. This was an expensive oven that we hoped would be perfect for a cooks kitchen. Contacting Samsung by phone and chat has been a nightmare. I now have to try to get service on a 2 month old stove!

i bought this with a delivery date of 12/22. i received confirming texts etc. on the morning of 12/22, i called them and was informed i would not receive the range until 1/5. i paid for installation. on this particular slide in, when it fits up next to the wall, there is a 1/2" gap and you need the stainless steel backplate so food doesn't get knocked behind the range. so i paid for installation for nothing. there were 5 screws provided to attach the stainless backplate. only the side and center holes were drilled through, so the backplate is installed with 2 screws missing. range top and oven work great. the control knob takes some getting used to.

When arrived it burned everything, adjusted temperature top oven is okay bottom oven temperature is low by 25 degrees. Repair person could not fix. Have owned for over 6 months still hate baking with it, and I used to LOVE to bake! Burner surface is always dusty and doesn't clean up after spills.

A Love/Hate Relationship

love the look and the idea of an air fryer and dehydrator in a single unit. after 7 months, the oven will not achieve or maintain the desired temperature. i've learned 3 important things: 1 samsung can be counted on to honor the warranty, living in a fairly remote area causes issues for repair services, 3 - the warranty starts from the date of purchase not the date received/put into use. i believe this was a fluke and not representative of samsung quality.

Love the double oven

I bought this oven 7 months ago. I really like it except for the oven controls lighting up with the slightest bump. 3 weeks ago, we baked something at night, next morning the oven is not working. Control panel is unresponsive. Burners work fine. It's under warranty but first repairman didn't seem to know what he was doing. Still not fixed and waiting 2 more weeks for parts. If reliable, I would recommend this oven. It looks great.

- must continuously press the "smartcontrol" feature on the stove to keep it "smart". having it connected to wifi is not enough. finished cooking? it turns off. open the door? it turns off. bump the display while cleaning the stove? it turns off. the smart feature is never on (i can't stress that enough). - there is only one "chime" that is shared for all alerts. no way to change it. no volume adjust for the alert, only disable sounds from the app - doesn't update the time during the time change. trying to "sync time" within the app does nothing. - touch controls are too sensitive. no way to adjust the sensitivity of the touch screens or a way to turn them off for cleaning. if you are looking for a piece of smart hardware i suggest you look elsewhere.

I really like all the extras this range has. From the option to use the small upper oven, both ovens, or open it up to use the big oven, to the capability of air frying. It's a great range! My only issue/complaint is that while you can lock the oven, you can't lock the range knobs, and they easily turn on, just by bumping them.

it's still a little early for a full review. but we're enjoying it so far. the cooktop heats things much faster than my old range. we used the air fry option today. it went well. i would probably have given 5 stars if it had come w a paper manual. it was way more difficult to find than it should've been. also, while not samsung's fault, be aware that the sliding shelf is held in place with a plastic zip tie. i had no idea to look for one so i unintentionally did the initial bake (1 hr at 400 degrees) they recommend w the zip tie still in place. i had to write a review for a promotion for a backsplash that was going on and had to include the following sentence: i received compensation for this review but the review is my own.

I purchased this range for my new kitchen remodel. Within 3 weeks the bottom oven stopped working altogether and the AirFryer never worked at all. Repair person said "it has multiple broken components and needs a new Mother Board." A 3 week old range should not have so many broken and defective parts. Do not be swayed by the bells and whistles!

All about it is amazing love to bake and cook

so far i am in love with the range i have the gas range, duo oven and yes this is a very useful whennyou baking you can only open half of the door and you loose no that much heat. *the burners are different size the 2 at from are wide for big pots *the oven setting are multiple like roast, air fryer, dehydratedd, convencional oven and more. *child lock oven and lot more is easy to clean can be confused the seating so turn dial left for oven setting and right for stove setting like time and wifi setting so far i love it

So far so good

had this for a month now, and it has been great. my wife and i got tired of having to bake separate items. this solves our problem. our old range also took forever to pre-heat and boil, this one does it in 1/4 of the time. the smart control is amazing. we don't get home in the evening sometimes until after 8, so having the oven begin pre-heating on the way home is fantastic. i received compensation for this review but the review is my own.

Good looking range but

bought this range for thanksgiving and it started glitching in les than 3 weeks since newly installed. sensor screen isnt as responsive as when was new and one of the blue o ring backlight on the stovetop knob isnt working anymore. on top of that, serial number plate is either missing or hard to find (need to remove the range)

Smart Update!

very pleased with our new smart electric range. we are transitioning our home appliances and already have a smart fridge, washer & dryer. when it was time to replace our range it was easy decision. love the features and the flexibility of one large oven or two! the only concern that i had was that i was replacing a freestanding range that had the controls on the back. that said, samsung has a 4 inch or 9 inch stainless steel backsplash to compensated for the unfinished backsplash -yay! i would recommend. i received compensation for this review but the review is my own.

The Double-Oven's Little Brother

This unit is a handsome compliment to any kitchen. Stainless is indeed fingerprint/splatter resistant. The leveling feet stick out just a bit from the front edge, which I don't find attractive, but not enough to make me dislike the overall aesthetics. Things I love about this are: 1) back-lit knobs - makes knowing when a burner is on very obvious 2) rapid boil feature – less than 5 minutes for a cast iron 3 quart 3) pull out oven shelf – glides in/out with ease making heavier or bulkier items more manageable 4) split door – being able to check on what's in the oven without opening the whole door 5) duo mode – with the oven divider, it's like having two small double ovens… "the Double Oven's little brother" 6) Air Fry – crispy, even results 7) Bread proof – perfect for anyone who bakes breads 8) Selection knob is user friendly and intuitive 9) Two lights 10) Chimes, instead of buzzers or beeps, for timers & notifications (like preheat is complete) 11) smooth cooktop & inside oven doors/floor wipe clean easily Things I would change or don't necessarily like: 1) needs stops (or notches) at the start & end of each size/selection on the multi burner knobs - it's too easy to be on the wrong size burner 2) needs an additional oven shelf 3) the oven vent, located on the back level with the cooktop surface, rattles when the oven is on 4) in duo mode you are limited by the temps & types of cooking for each section 5) the top oven light blew within the first week of use 6) When the control panel is locked, so is the door. It takes several seconds for the door latch to release after unlocking the panel. 7) Wish there were separate controls for each light Overall, quite an improvement over my 12 year old convection oven! I'm very happy we made this upgrade.

Love this Stove

this stove is everything we expected and more. the double oven is something we had in our previous house and wanted it in the new stove but did not have the space for wall ovens. the first thing we noticed was how fast the burners hear up compared to our old stove. additionally, the app integration is fantastic. we cannot wait to use it to its full potential. i highly recommend this product.

i just had this delivered yesterday. it is beautiful. i upgraded to a slide in this time. the oven doors are not heavy like some others. the glass top is really nice. the controls are really easy to control and bright. the heat on the stove top is great. i haven't used the oven yet but can't wait to start baking. i am really happy with this slide in range.

Amazing range!

I am super happy with my new Samsung range! The advanced features it has are truly amazing. I love that I can use my Google assistant to preheat and also change settings without even being near the range. It has a self clean option which I've already taken advantage of that works great. I'm very thankful for being able to cook two different things, at different temperatures all at the same time using the split oven. I really enjoy cooking with it and I haven't had any problems with the range at all. It is very high end and has updated the look of my kitchen drastically! You will love it!

A Great Range With All The Bells And Whistles

If you are looking for the best possible electric range, this has to be high on your list of choices. It isn't cheap, but there is basically no feature it is missing: Double oven (and both have convection which isn't that common in doubles), air fryer, dehydrator, SmartThings integration, etc. If you need a feature, it probably has it, and it looks really good as well. I was very concerned that it wouldn't fit, but Samsung's dimensions are on the safe side. If you have around 29 7/8", it should fit. The stove-top can get a skillet to 375 degrees in less than 90 seconds based on my temp gun. That's crazy fast. The knobs are somewhat confusing at first since different burners go different ways, but you get used to it. I thought the air fryer would be a gimmick, but foods definitely come out crunchier and crisper than the oven alone. Heat seems even within the oven with quick preheat, and the temperature probe that can be inserted into a roast is a nice touch. Also, I like it can switch to "Keep Warm" after the cook time is done. Of course, there are some downsides, but they are fairly minor: The biggest one is probably that the knobs are not disabled when the child lock feature is engaged, and this seems like a silly oversight. The knobs glow this pretty blue when turned on, so they are eye-catching to our toddler who likes to turn them. If you have a curious child, be very careful or you could start a fire if you leave something on top of a burner. I wish the feature disabled the knobs as well as locking the oven door. This will matter significantly more to those who have small children than those who do not. Additionally, it's really frustrating that the Smart Control feature disables every time you open the oven door or after a scheduled timeout. I understand why Samsung did this--it is a huge liability if someone turns on the oven from their phone without checking on it--but it makes it so you have to plan your meals ahead of time. You can't just say "Oh, let me preheat the oven from my phone before I leave work." You need to enable the feature before you leave for work in the morning. Still, if you plan ahead, it is nice. Finally, a lot of the modes do not work if you have the Smart Divider in the oven. I expected this, but it would be nice if I could air fry in one while baking in another. Still, the downsides are minor, and if you are looking for an electric range that checks all the boxes, this will do nicely. Recommended.

The features available on this oven-range combo are amazing. So far I have mostly used the top half-oven option with the easy glide out rack for broiling and convection baking. Using less energy and heat the top oven reaches its temperature so quickly and efficiently! The fast boil on the range top boiled water in just over a minute, simply amazing. I have also taken advantage of the Wifi connectivity to monitor the time and temp while baking a cake, turning off the oven remotely when done---if only we could now add live video to the oven! Ha ha. I have no negative feedback yet other than it would have been so cheap and easy to add a computer chip which saves all your oven settings so that when power goes out you don't have to reset everything all over again like a microwave. I have not yet figured out of the clock can remain illuminated as it constantly goes dark until you touch the screen to activate the display. I received this product at a reduced cost in exchange for my testing and reviewing the product as part of The Insiders program

Samsung range double oven is a mind blowing cooking experience.Its not so much a recepie but ability to achieve perfect temperature and timing.Samsung range double oven is a perfect solution for any working mom. As many will agree, its always a struggle to make a quick, healthy and tasty meal. Samsung range cooks faster then other ovens, and allows perfect temperature control.I love having double oven and the fact that i can bake simultaneously multiple dishes at a different temperature. It also allows coversion to a large oven to feet this huge Turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. A specialized 5 burner cooktop is perfect for making multiple dishes in different pans. As a working mom I truly enjoy the convenience of an easy-to- clean electric range with induction heating. One thing to keep in mind , it is much easier to clean after the top cools off.
