i thought samsung was quality. i was wrong. i can't use half of my refrigerator. the bracket that holds the lowest shelf with the drawers cracked and broke off. i just got this refrigerator in january. the whole thing is made out of cheap brittle plastic and drawers keep breaking. samsung care said they will not cover it so i can barely use it! what a waste of money. this refrigerator is junk. look at the bad reviews and don't waste your money.

Not happy with capacity

i spent all summer researching refridgerstors, i finally decided on this one. 28cu, slightly bigger than my side by side, yet when transferring my food, it did not all fit. it has a shelt that slide to make more room and one that flips up. neither option allowed me to put a whole watermelon inside. i had to cut it in half.
the only place to put a gallon milk is in the door which costs me space for jars and bottles.
i thought it came with an ice tray for the freezer but is did not so i put my own in which takes away from my total freezer space.
as pretty as it looks, it is not functional for my household. $2000 later and buyer's remorse.

Space in fridge

we enjoy the space this fridge provides. however, the center glass shelf cannot be removed from this fridge for cleaning. the tabs that release the shelf for removal will not compress thus releasing the shelf for removal. a technician from famous tate clearwater florida where we purchased the fridge could not remove this shelf and we have tried removing this shelf many times as well.

right after the warranty expired, the icemaker shuts down after several weeks of slowing down. the freezer shuts down. we can see why the warranty isn't that great of a warranty.

Freezer Malfunctions

the freezer does not work unless the "power freeze" option is turned on. if the "power freeze" option stayed on it would not be that big of an issue but the "power freeze" option turns itself off so you need to constantly check the "power freeze" option to make sure items in the freezer do not melt. also, there is lighting bolt symbol that is lit under the minus sigh of the freezer temperature but cannot find that symbol in the manual to see why the lighting bolt symbol is lit.
the ice maker does not make hard ice. the ice comes out white and soft.

this fridge is pretty awesome! i love how the shelves flip, move and adjust to make room for large or odd shaped food. the see through drawers make it easier to find things. the freezer is a really nice size. the features that are extra neat are the auto fill pitcher for water that you can put things to infuse the flavor of the water, and the "cool select" pantry is convenient for when you are hosting a party and need to keep appetizers chilled until people arrive. overall, i recommend this fridge, however there are a few things i wish were different; when the ice dumps into the holder it's a bit loud, and secondly i wish there was a measurement feature on the water dispenser. also irritating that i have to open both doors to open the bottom crisper.

it was supposed to be the best fridge in all the lowest priced french door models.
like twin cooling, large space in freezer and fridge, led lights, three temperature regions etc.
my fridge came with a few defects.
1. the middle shield between two doors come in the way and bumps into right door. i have to use my other hand to push it in., i went to store and found the other fridges middle shield has some kind of spring action which makes it stay in the right place and so it does not bump at all.
2. specs say that there is a bin in the freezer (just as an ice bin in many fridges) but bin did not show up in the fridge packing.
3. it makes loud knocking noice in the night.

I've had my fridge since July and it's been rocking along fantastic! It keeps a consistent temperature throughout the fridge and in the freezer (per my separate thermometer) and the temperature controls are accurate (again per my separate thermometer). I love the "CoolSelect Pantry". I keep soft drinks in there and they stay icy cold. The dinging when the door is open (at the fridge and on my phone) while somewhat annoying when I'm unloading the groceries is a great feature when I don't get the door(s) completely closed (going from an old fridge with door hinges so worn they closed on their own means this happens regularly...). The ice maker crunches ice well, and the filter makes the local water (that then comes though a water softener which takes the bad taste to a whole new level) actually taste good. It's nice to be able to lock the dispenser so you can wipe the moisture off without getting water everywhere (as I discovered the SECOND time I was wiping up...). And who knew I needed a WiFi refrigerator? It's actually kind of cool to know I can adjust the temperature remotely. And my AC, garage door opener, and sprinkler system (along with the other usual devices) are WiFi, too, so the more the merrier. My only advice to the buyer would be to get the model with four doors if you intent to use the flex drawer for something you access frequently. I am getting in my flex drawer a lot. But it holds the temperature no matter how often I open the fridge so it's all good.

the shelf in the freezer door didnt come with the freezer. when we called we were told it was removed from the item. they used to come with them but no longer. the freezer still has the side notches for the drawer but it is not included. absolutely ridiculous. also the photos online show that there is an ice tray in the freezer but when asked for that, again were told it is no longer included! almost everything we own is samsung. that might change. spend thousands of dollars on a refrigerator and the freezer shelf isnt included is absurd!

Upon arrival, delivery team noticed dings and dents in left door- they took pics and called Samsung who the delivery team indicated that someone was coming out to replace door. No one showed. Still waiting - 2 more calls made without results. I like the refrigerator- some difficulty changing temperatures as smart app did not work but you tube helped explain the need to hold down certain buttons for over 3 seconds. Hearing Ice slam down inside refrigerator all night is a little crazy so expect this noise that for some reason is louder than any other ice making fridge I have owned. Michael

Bought this several months ago and we are in love. Our last fridge was smaller and was a side by side. We figured we needed more space. Well space is what we got! With the bifold refridgerator doors and pull out drawer freezer, we found ourselves with an abundance of space! The ice maker and filtered water works flawlessly! Love the fact it has an alarm timer for the doors. Lets us know when our children fail to close the door! The lock on the water is so nice too! We dont have to worry about the kids carelessly making a mess with water like they did on our last fridge!

Various compartments and flexibility in arranging the shelves results in a lot of space to accommodate most any size item you want to put in the refrigerator. i just have this refrigerator installed today, and it kept dripping down water at front water dispenser. it just made me disappointed. water keeping dripping is very annoying and i have to use kitchen paper under it to absorb the dripping water (see picture attached). it didn't meet my expectation at all.

This fridge is spacious and accommodating for all my groceries. I love the look of this fridge and the easy to use ice machine (easy for my kids to operate too). Only downfall about this product is the handles scratch easily. If your wearing rings on your fingers it could be a set up for disaster. We're only a few weeks in owning this fridge and we have several small nicks and scratches on the handles. The scratches are noticeable and its takes away from the fridges sexapeal.

We bought this unit as a replacement when our refrigerator quit. The french doors and bottom freezer were two key features we were looking for. Also with kids, the door alarm is awesome in notifying us when the doors are left open too long. We have connected the refrigerator through the Samsung SmartThings app which gives us recipes, shows valuable information about energy usage, number of times the door opens, etc. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for "smart" features in their appliances.

I really do appreciate the fact that there are no visible finger prints on the surface of the refrigerator. My old one drove me crazy always wiping away the dirty finger prints. The stainless steel is truly finger print free. I do like all the features it has also. The water and ice dispenser is better engineered than my old refrigerator also.
