If you want a fridge that does it all, meet this Samsung powerhouse. Customizable to a point where you'll have to read the user's manual (don't worry-- it's very clear!), this is the fridge that does it all. Our household is a weird mix of health food nuts and ice cream devotees, but the many bins that divide up the freezer compartment keep everyone on their diets and most importantly, everything is always fresh and frozen solid. I've noticed a difference in the freshness of my foods, epscially produce... things are lasting far longer than ever before. Also, the fridge is deceptively roomy-- when it arrived, everyone worried about my Costco trips: how would everything fit in this seemingly compact footprint? But not only is this fridge a space saver, it easily fits everything that I buy and even keeps it displayed in a way where my kids can find their own snacks and help themselves. Easy to clean, the shelves wipe clean quickly. The open door reminder is also a helpful feature-- beeping when the heavy drawers haven't been fully closed.
Although I haven't tried many of the hallmark features of this refrigerator (the customized temperature settings for fermenting kimchi, etc.), it is a kitchen powerhouse packed with features that keeps foods cold, easily accessible, and displayed proudly. The stainless steel doors wipe clean easily, minimizing fingerprints, and they definitely are the handsome centerpiece of my kitchen now.
The only complaint woudl be that if you're accustomed to "American-sized" products, such as two-liter soda bottles, you may need to be a bit creative finding places to stash them (on their sides works just fine). This is a fridge aimed at a more delicate, health-conscious Asian population, and the American 'super-sized' mentality isn't something that this refrigerator is designed to accommodate. That said, this appliance is efficient, attractive, quiet, and roomy, so if you're looking for something to anchor the kitchen of a healthy, conscious, energy-efficient home, this is your best choice!
