Machine rusts and falls apart within 2yrs

bought the washer dryer set in 2017 and within two years started noticing rusting around bleach dispenser and water jet. which now has just spread immensely all over that rusted metal just falls in tk the drum and on to clean clothes staining them. im now noticing drip marks on the outside of my machine too. i thought samsung was a trusted brand, but it absolutely is not. all of our samsung appliances are having issues. stay away

rust problems

worst washing machine i have ever own. given that i have only own two because my last one lasted 15 years (not a samsung). bought it 3 years ago when we bought a new home and it gave me problems since week one. large loads were always unbalanced, sheets bundle up into a knot, did not spin well enough to drain the water, loud, just a mess. and then it just started taking water non-stop even when the machine was off. tried to get it fixed, but of course the warranty has expired and they want me to pay $60 just to make an appointment and $132 for a diagnostic. total disappointment.

this is my second samsung washer only because they had a recall on the first and in order to purchase a new one i could either get a higher refund if i purchased another samsung or less refund if i purchased another brand. since day one ive had the same balance issues as i did with the first. after having someone come out several times i was eventually told i was putting too much clothes in the washer and the next time they came out would charge.

we got this washer and the accompanying dryer a year and a half ago and first the dryer broke had to be replaced two weeks ago (repair man said it would be cheaper to replace than fix - the parts needed alone would coast more than purchasing a new dryer. then the washer broke last week leaking water and suds through the bottom of the washer. we checked all the hoses, etc., it wasnt them at all. now we have to replace this one too. do not buy!

Machine Flaw

i bought this machine 5/2019 and in june 2020 the drum broke loss and destroyed my machine. when researching the issue found that samsung has had recalls for this exact issue. samsung is refusing to fix the issue even though there is a 3 year warranty on the drum. this has been the worse experience i have every had. they said they would fix it then they sent someone and noticed the exterior damage that the drum caused and now they refuse to fix the machine. this machine cost $800 and now i have piece of junk sitting in my wash room. they need to do the right thing and fix this machine.

this machine often becomes unbalanced and will repeatedly refill and spin. the wash times seem extremely long. the clothes don't always come out clean, by far the worst issue is the mold problem. using self clean 10 times in a row with bleach and mold flakes still present. the wash machine smells, the clothes i am trying to clean are left with mold flakes and a musty smell after being washed. customer service has been zero help. i took the agitator off and it is covered in black mold. there is no way to clean it as it a plastic part attached to the metal part. clearly this is a design flaw and samsung is unwilling to stand behind their product. i will never buy another samsung appliance.

bought this washer in 2017, and the clutch has gone out. this is ridiculous. i havent even had this 3 years. of course, not covered by warranty. have a huge purchase history with samsung (laptop, tablets, cell phones, ear buds, appliances), but will by something else now, starting with either a whirlpool or maytag washer.

machine 4 years old issues

purchased 4 years ago and worked fine up until the night before i left for vacation. girlfriend stayed behind. the unit stopped draining water and wouldn't spin. she researched and by the symptoms decided it needed a new pump. i ordered it for $140.00 had it shipped to her. installed and the machine worked once then threw other coded. had her call a recommended service professional. $60.00 later he couldn't definitively say what the issue was. guessed it was an issue with the circuit board. of course just out of the 3 year extended warranty so i had her chose a replacement rather than pour more money into it. she opted for the updated model # wa52m7750aw after another $750.00 the new one installed and gave the old one to a junk dealer.

I bought this washer 9/04/2018 and a matching Electric Dryer and I have not had a single problem with them what so ever and they both work 5 times better and more efficient than the ones I replaced that were 15 years old. It's hard to replace something you never had a problem with but sometimes you need to update to save water and power and the choices I made in these Samsung products were the right ones!

I bought this a month ago as a replacement for a recalled washing machine. The added sink has came in handy with 2 little boys who are stain magnets! The only downfalls I have found thus far are: A) My husband and I smack our heads on the sink constantly. I am 5'1 and have to basically fall into the washer to reach the bottom. WHYYYY DID YOU REMOVE THE LIFTED DRUM?! B) It's much, much louder than my previous machine...to the point of annoyance. With this being said, it cleans our clothes wonderfully which is no easy feat - mannny Army mechanic/stinky PT uniforms and boys who love mud and all things dirty! It also washes my expensive delicates gently and have had no mishaps.

Great Washer...When It Works

We bought this on February 26, 2019 and the board went on it already. Very upset with this purchase so we are returning it to the store and getting an LG. On perm press it says error 4c which is water input related. The hose is not kinked, the valve is fine, and it's only on perm press. Instead of replacing the board we are replacing the washer and dryer we just purchased. So upsetting because we have saved up to get own place and get the activewash series and it flopped. Just beware of this washer of you buy it because I purchased it bra d new from Best Buy and when I registered it, the manufacturers warranty was already expired. My monitor I bought from Samsung directly did the same thing. So I'm starting to turn away from Samsung products now including the phones. So word of warning, be cautious buying Samsung products.

Worst Washer Ever!!!

I just bought this on Nov.22nd, was delivered Nov. 29th, called to return Dec.2nd. I had a 48 hour window to return the item, so as soon as it was delivered I started using the washer. 1st load took 1 and 1/2 hours to finish. Went with the normal wash cycle, hot water, high spin, soil level heavy, because I have 3 small dogs and this was their bed covers and towels that I use to dry them with when I shower them. The laundry came out full of lint in different areas of the laundry, not sure where it all came from, also the spin cycle doesn't wring all the water, it's like a stop and go motion while in spin cycle, maybe it's a feature to take care of your clothes but how is that helpful when u have to put it to dry for longer period of time because it's so wet? So tried another load, this time under quick wash, this was our normal daily wear t-shirts, jeans, socks etc. cold water, high spin, soil level normal, fabric softener, time started with 33 min and after all the changes, 46 minutes. How is that a "quick wash"? Started the cycle and noticed it only washed the clothes 5 min, then the cycle changed to spin, how is a full load of clothes going to be clean when only 5 min of time went into waging it, the rest of the 41 min was going to be spent on rinse and spin!! So washer stopped and was changed to colors/dark, cold water, extra high spin, soil level, normal, fabric softener, back to 1hr 20min. Who has that kind of time!?!? Came out ok, but still more wet than expected esp when I put it on "extra high" spin! Still tried one more load... the towels. This was the last straw... normal wash, cold, spin cycle high, soil level normal, fabric softener, 1hr 31min... redicilous!! I never owned a washer that takes so long to wash!! The towels came out WET, so I did an extra "spin" cycle so to try to wring out the excess water 14min more, nop, didn't work!!! so that load took 1hr 45min and still did not do a complete job. There is plenty of room in the barrel but all the cons is not worth it! Plus in order to place softener into the tray you have to brink down the built in sink, because if you have the sink upright, the belly won't let you get close to the tray with jug of downy. Hope all this information was helpful!! Bottom line! Don't buy! Don't recommend!

Not worth the money. Bought this washer after my last one had a recall and have the same issues with this washer. Unable to wash more than one waterproof item at a time are it will become off balance and repeat cycle over and over, does not add enough water to each wash cycle causing the laundry detergent to stay on clothes.

Unable to wash more than one waterproof item at a time are it will become off balance and repeat cycle over and over, does not add enough water to each wash cycle causing the laundry detergent to stay on clothes.

Love the built in sink

I have had the washer since April and it is fantastic. The built in sink makes hand washing so easy and is great for scrubbing stains out. The large tub is amazing it has cut down on my loads

I have been using this washing machine since June of 2018 and I really like it. The clothes come out clean every time and even with a full load the water use is very efficient. It runs very quietly and so far we have not had any issues with it. There are many load options depending on what you need to wash and the few we do use get the job done. The activewash feature is very nice and we use it when we need an article of clothing that needs a little extra attention prior to washing. It helps out and is very handy for spot treating your clothes. The only con is that you after you load your clothes you do have to separate the activewash bin from the lid so that you can fill the detergent and fabric softener. Otherwise the activewash bin is in the way. I don't like using that handle for every load. I believe it will hold up just fine as it has so far but it's too bad they didn't think that one through a little bit better to save a step and wear on the washer.

Let me preface that I am a Samsung Fan, our house is full of Samsung products including our Smartphones! I drooled for a couple of years over these washers and I finally had to buy one! BIG MISTAKE! I have been a housekeeper for many years and now have a business which includes doing laundry for clients, that being said I know how to do laundry and have always prided myself in having clean laundry and white whites. This washer is the biggest mistake I have made in my almost 66 years, incredible my laundry is not clean or white!!! The draw for me was the HUGE capacity, only problem is the load you put in does not get wet all the way, no matter how you fold/stack the load. I have advise for all that would want to buy this RUN DON'T LOOK AGAIN... Samsung shame on you for creating such a poor product!!!

Bought the product last November 2017, been really careful using it and after 7 months of use started having problems, now it suddenly won't even power up. Requested a service warranty and awaits reply from manufacturer. I won't by Samsung again. Now I have to see how fast is their warranty service.

I have saved so much time with how effective the different settings help clean items the first time. I like the energy efficient modes to help save on my water heating bill as well. Not having to go to a laundromat for my bigger items is also really nice. The only con I have is that as a petite female my arms are too short to reach socks and other small things at the bottom. It is an easy fix to just put them all in washer bag (this has also helped cut down on missing socks) or get my husband to reach in and get the items at the bottom. The happy tones it sings when my laundry has finished helps to make a household chore more fun or maybe it is because I have cut my laundry time in half so it just seems like less of a pain.

Noisy out of the box

Installer ran a cycle machine was extremely loud during spin cycle. I believe it to be the back cover. Calledtech support 2 weeks ago and still waiting for a tech to come out. Otherwise machine works great
